The first book in this series, The Search for Selador’s Gate, by KSR Kingworth has been getting very positive reviews. You may or may not be interested to know it is also at the top of Listopia!‘s Predict Oprah’s Next Book Club Pick. Our hunch is because it’s a book that actually gives teens and adults hope, and it has moments of surprising kindness. We wonder, too, if it’s because more people than we realize are looking for books that deal with faith and religion where those topics aren’t the “issue” but are an integral part of the story.
I can tell you I have already read the book and you are all in for a very wonderful story. I can’t wait to share my review with you all next week. It is such a pleasure to encounter all these up-and-coming authors, all who were influenced by CS Lewis and the land of Narnia, and are able to tell new and fresh stories.
