Secret Speakers compared to Narnia and Lord of the Rings by School Library Journal

The good folks over at Rawle & Windsor Publishing contacted us concerning a brand new fantasy series called The Secret Speakers. The first book in this series, The Search for Selador’s Gate, by KSR Kingworth has been getting very positive reviews. At the “Read it and Rate it Event”, the readers rated it equal to or better than Twilight and Harry Potter

Here is what else they had to say:

We’re delighted to announce that K.S.R. Kingworth’s debut novel in the Secret Speakers series received a starred review from the School Library Journal in their June issue. The review compared it to the Narnia novels as well as Tolkien’s Lord of the Ringsnovels. We at Rawle & Windsor Publishing believe you would want to be among some of the first to know.
You may or may not be interested to know it is also at the top of Listopia!‘s Predict Oprah’s Next Book Club Pick. Our hunch is because it’s a book that actually gives teens and adults hope, and it has moments of surprising kindness. We wonder, too, if it’s because more people than we realize are looking for books that deal with faith and religion where those topics aren’t the “issue” but are an integral part of the story.

I can tell you I have already read the book and you are all in for a very wonderful story. I can’t wait to share my review with you all next week. It is such a pleasure to encounter all these up-and-coming authors, all who were influenced by CS Lewis and the land of Narnia, and are able to tell new and fresh stories. Rest assured, dear readers, there is going to be many more to come.
