In Malaysia GSC-EON Visa Cardholders treated to Dawn Treader Extravaganza

Family fun is the flavor of the season from the EON Bank Group. The group, in collaboration with movie distributor 20th Century Fox and partner Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), is bringing the fantasy film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, for the viewing pleasure of its GSC-EON Bank Visa Credit Cardholders.

The film, which will hit our cinemas nationwide on Dec 9, is part of a planned series of feature film adaptations based on the popular children’s fantasy novels by C.S. Lewis.

“We are delighted to, once again, take our GSC-EON Bank Visa Credit Cardholders on an exhilarating movie extravaganza,” said EON Bank Group head of cards and unsecured lending Aaron Tan. “With The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, we have invested in excess of RM1 million to line up an array of thrilling and rewarding campaigns for our customers.”

In conjunction with its third movie sponsorship program under the GSC-EON Bank Visa Credit Card – The Ultimate Movie Card, EON Bank Group is running a slew of exciting campaigns both on the ground and online.

Spend & Win (until Nov 21)
With the Spend & Win campaign, those holding any EON Bank Group credit cards will get to win an all-expense-paid holiday package for two to Japan or Korea worth up to RM18,000 jsut by charging a minimum of RM50 to their card.

Besides the three holiday packages that are being offered as main prizes, there are also 100 consolation prizes comprising a limited edition T-shirt and two movie passes to be won.

In addition, those with the GSC-EON Bank Visa Credit Card will have the chance of winning the grand prize of a 12-day dream cruise of North America worth RM35,000!

They will also have the advantage of gaining five times more the number of entries per qualifying transaction as well as receiving a bonus prize of one-year free movie vouchers if they win any of the holiday packages to Japan or Korea.

On-the-Spot Redemption (Nov 6–Dec 12)
GSC-EON Bank Credit Cardholders who spend a minimum of RM300 in up to two accumulated receipts will also be entitled to choose from two movie premieres, 3D or open in-season passes through the on-the-spot redemption booths at selected GSC locations.

On top of that, as part of their new Movie Day card feature, cardholders with spending of RM1,000 and above over a month will be rewarded with a pair of complimentary movie vouchers, redeemable every first Saturday of the month.

Online Contests (until Nov 21)
On the web, there is a host of contests that is open to all – not just cardholders – to experience the enchanting spirit of Narnia and win fabulous goodies and prizes.

They include cutting-edge Sony Ericsson mobile phones, limited edition Narnia merchandises and movie passes.

Depositors of the bank will also have the chance to grab limited edition Narnia merchandises and invitations to the premiere screening of the movie via an upcoming campaign.

  1. This is most interesting. LWW set a box office record in Malaysia. Maybe VDT will too. Malaysia is a Muslim country and they seem to be attracted to the universal truths that Lewis illustrates in the Narnia books. My hat is off to the people of Malaysia for supporting the Narnia movies. This looks to be most generous.

  2. hmmmm, are you sure narnia 3 will be release on 9th Dec??? cause like the narnia 1 & 2 before, it’s only shows after few months been released @ uk????
