The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Soundtrack Cover Art

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Soundtrack
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Soundtrack

David Arnold’s score for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will release on December 7, 2010. We now have the cover art, which was posted today on Amazon.com’s listing.

Pre-Order the Soundtrack Today!

The art is very beautiful, with Aslan’s face. I’m not sure what the white sparkly stuff is supposed to be, but it is reminiscent of snow and stars.

One thing I know for sure: I’m excited to hear it. Harry Gregson-Williams did an excellent job with the first two Narnia scores, but as we all know, each Narnia book is vastly different from the last, so having a new composer on this could prove the perfect move.

  1. This looks too much like the cover of the Inspired artist soundtrack from 2005 with all the Christian artists in 2005. Though that doesn’t sound like a bad idea if they decide to do that again.

  2. ooh it’s beautiful!! i hope it’s as good as the others!! i’m sure it will be 🙂

    • Here’s the link to one of the songs, its amazing!!!! cant wait until I get my hands on the whole soundtrack!!!!(the song is called Two Steps from Hell- Aka Heart of Courage)

      FOR NARNIA!!!! =D

  3. I like it, but it looks on first impression too much like LWW…it needs the SHIP on the cover!! After going to so much work to create such an incredible set, it should be immortalized on the soundtrack cover, imo. But still, I’m looking forward to hearing what David Arnold comes up with–I loved his Amazing Grace soundtrack, so I’m sure it’ll be beautiful. 🙂 <

  4. I hope it will be fantastic as the others…49 days and counting…we should all count together..what do ya’ say??

  5. well I think the new cover is good and bad… Good part: It is (hopefully) reminding us of the beggining (LWW) and how this is (maybe?) supposed to have some connection with the magic in the first one. Bad part: I do partially agree with the other comments, Although it is beautiful I think they should’ve done the Dawn Treader… but over all I’m very pleased.

    • Yes, I thought it was also a little to like LWW. I personally would have liked it to be more vibrant colors that stand out. The whitewashed look just isn’t captivating, makes it look like older technology.
It’s ok, just was expecting something WAY better.

  6. while it’s pretty, and I do like it, it does look too much like LWW. The ship should have been on the cover or something…

  7. It would be better with the Dawn Treader on the over and Aslan smaller or like the poster, the Dawn Treader on the eyes of Aslan, but its good the cover 😀

  8. YAY!! can’t wait for December 7 and 10!!!
I love the cover but it needs the Dawn Treader on it, but Aslan is still (obivously) awesome=D

  9. okay so… heres a link to one of the songs on the soundtrack, I have no other thing to say other than…

if you dont want to use the link, just go to youtube and type in Two steps from hell Heart of courage

      • The Prince Caspian Soundtrack had an extra song on it that wasnt in the movie (it’s called Lucy), but because it was already recorded, they decided to put it on the CD anyway, so just because this song might not be in the movie doesnt exactlly mean that they won’t include it in the soundtrack.

        • I do agree that it is possible, however the song in question has been used on a few other trailers, not just Narnia. (Though I hope they do include it, I’m not betting on it. It is awesome music.)
