This image has been a little bit controversial. It features Aslan, who is the main character that shows up in all seven of the Narnia stories. But it also shows what looks to be like snow.
People have been comparing it to the cover of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe‘s Inspired by album. However, if you take a closer look at that cover, those are stars, not snowflakes. It might have made more sense if they traded images, but that’s just not possible. Anyway, this image is being used on the cover of the soundtrack, and in theater advertising. Here’s the latest poster that you might find at your local theater.
This poster does emphasize that Aslan isn’t just a character in the film, but probably the most important character. He is the focus of two posters, and a very large part of the other.
Brilliant suggestion! Aslan looking into his reflection in ocean water! Detritus floating on the surface! That makes sense.
Well my opinion is that this is not snow or stars but, in the deep sea you can see these smal things. Like remember Titanic? Wen they search for that kind of treasure we can see tons of that. Its like undersea dust.
Could be…. but I definitely think it is snow rather than stars…
Well we cant know yet but anyways in the end of the trailer we can see Dawn Treader on a snow place like pirates of caribean 3 befor they get to worlds end, maybe there is the snow .
ya thats true… I want to see pirates 3 soo bad! haha
good but ıt can be somethıng more beatıful
It might be the snow from where Lucy uses the magic book to make it snow?
Really I think it’s just not meant to be “showing” the actual film but there using advertising to make it look similar to the first because it made the most money.
ya I don’t really care for the snow idea, although it would be cool to see in the movie… they completely made that up…
i thinks its stars when they are out sailing at night and during the blackness at dark island -maybe his face shows up in the night sky during the movie, maybe instead of the albatross seen by lucy in the book-
that would be sooo cool! but I don’t think that will happen
We actually have two billboards of this out by us (Kalamazoo, MI). First movie billboards we’ve had in the area, much less two! But it is way awesome and very eye-catching and intimidating. Excellent poster for the film.
