The Wall Street Journal interviewed Carrie Underwood today about her recent wins at the American Country Awards, as well as about her song for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader titled “There’s A Place For Us.” Here are some of the questions she was asked about her involvement with Narnia:
How did you go about writing the song “There’s a Place for Us”?
The movie is about an epic sea voyage. You’re from Oklahoma, a landlocked state. How did you get in the mindset to write the song?
So you never had the urge to rhyme something with “Narnia?”
It would have been nice to give it a real country music title, like “Aslan, Take The Wheel.”
The book has strong religious themes. Is that part of what attracted you to this project?

That was a very interesting interview. I love reading how songs get into movies. I almost like the soundtracks as much as the movie!!!!
And I was expecting her to act in something some time soon!
