love this show !! if peter was in it a lot more would be better ..
it so cool and fantastic than before i think
the film is very interesting viewing in 3D but the story is less satisfying without king peter and queen susan.
King Peter and Queen Susan can not come back to Narnia because they have already learned everything they can in Narnia, it would go completely against the books to bring them back.
Don’t worry, they don’t actually go back to Narnia.
its nice and Good i wanna back annapopewell to narnia plzzz

Paul: two suggestions, you should put a pole up and ask what people thought of this movie, second you should make a post about pluggedin doing a review on VOTDT.

This looks great. You should have a random review listed on the homepage everytime someone visits.
That’s coming. I just haven’t had a chance to do that. I’ve been working on my review.
Has anyone seen it in BOTH 2D & 3D? Is is worth the money to pay for the 3D?
From what I heard, it isn’t worth the extra money, but I haven’t seen it in 3-D so IDK.
saw it last night in 3D and we all loved it. I believe its worth it.
I have. The 3D is actually really good. I’ve seen it twice in 2D and once in 3D. What I can say is that there are a couple of times where I looked for things to be out of place in 3D, and because I was looking for it, I found it. But it does give the screen more depth. Nothing comes out at you, which is great… 3D is more effective when it invites you almost into the picture instead of throwing stuff at you. That works best in amusement parks.
Please bring back king peter and queen susan not that caspian !!
They can’t be put in the movie. They were not in the book and they would completely throw off the story if they were in Narnia. Caspian must be in it.
they cant…bcoz…peter and susan…has grown ups…they learn many things and narnia…
narnia the silver chair..ther is no pevensie children..mentioned..only eustace and jill…
I loved this movie. I felt it was emotional in a few scenes. I really hope they turn all of the books into movies. I felt that this movie was very well done.
Hey, I can’t publish a review on the site. It won’t let me. I really like the movie too, Paul.
Don’t know why it’s working for some and not for others. It’s helpful to me if people tell me more information. What browser?
omg december 10th! its here!
I posted my review! https://narniafans.com/vdt_reviews/review.php?id=12
just saw the movie! and Like you I couldn’t believe I was finally watching it!!! But I really DID NOT like the green mist! I’d give it a 3 outta 5, Green mist was stupid and so were the swords, but at the same time I know they needed to add stuff, I just didn’t care for how they did those things. overall great review
This is, by far the best of the series! It captured the messages of the book perfectly without holding back and the story flowed well because of the new elements that were added.
I saw it in 2D. Some of the sequences at the end were so dark that from past experience they must have been very hard to see in 3D. The rest was so colorful that I couldn’t bear to darken it up for the sake of eye-popping gimmicks and headaches.
I have no major complaints about the movie. All of the scenes that had to be well done were well done, and the end is touching. The 4 out of 5 stars thing basically says it all. It was just fundamentally unsatisfying in a way that I can’t describe. Mostly it felt rushed, like every scene was just itching to get to the next scene. It needed to slow down and do a little more characterization. I felt like I never really got to know any of the characters. Was this seriously the director of “Amazing Grace”?
Assuming that they sacrificed length for their precious 3D (a fad that I hope dies a well-deserved death soon), it really shows in the narrative.
I think what it really needs is an extended cut, to put back in what I assume must have been about another half hour of characterization, to slow it down a little. More Reepicheep and less green mist by comparison could redeem the malaise that watching it induces.
I have no major objection to any specific changes, and it must be said that the changes preserved the spirit (sort of, maybe 70%; the book wasn’t much to do with temptation). To be honest, I don’t think I would have appreciated those changes as much if I hadn’t read the Michael Flaherty interview at Big Hollywood, because his explanations of the Christian subtlety of their choices were more interesting than they come across on screen.
But in the end, it was simply so different from the book that it just sort of felt off in some indescribable way. I felt myself wondering what “The Last Battle” is going to look like if this accelerating pattern holds – probably something along the lines of Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan battling the White Witch to keep Aslan from destroying Narnia.
Without spoiling, the “mother’s shout-out” does kind of tie the hands of the writers for the next one. It makes no sense given what we know of Eustace and his situation at the start of “The Silver Chair.” Maybe it could quietly go the way of Caspian’s spanish accent. Maybe Eustace still has water in his ears and she said of something in the fridge, “Still mold and hairy, pee-eugh!”
No major snarks, no major problems, just an overall sense of “Ehh.” They have put so much money into 3D and advertising blitzes that I do not see how this movie could possibly be profitable enough to make the next one.
But if they do make the next one, and if it bears any resemblance to the book (Caspian, um, does still have a son, right? I’m starting to wonder, and I stayed through the credits in vain), the movie’s in good hands with this Eustace, who was superb.
This movie is incredible!!! I really loved all the setting, the colors and it was just magnificent. The actors did a stunning job and I would have to say this is my favorite Narnia movie so far. I would give it a AAA+++ Because of the great effects, sound and colors. I laughed, and cried. The end was very touching, And I especially appreciate the morals that these series carry out. And the Biblical resemblence they hold. Overall. It is well worth the money! And I would recommend seeing it in 3-D. Very worthy of the money. Bravo! I cannot wait for the next one!
Here’s my review! Any questions or comments?

My wife and I just got home from the Movie…VDT.. all I can say is masterful..They really did such a excellent job in every aspect..Georgie,Skandar and Will…truly did such a fantastic job…I hope and am praying that it does well so we can keep the franchise going…most excellent…
what did you think of ~~~the green mist~~~?
great adventurous thrilling movie.eustace(will poulter) acted very well.i wanted to ask if next part the silver chair would release or not.if it is releasing i’m waiting for it
This was my favorite book of the series when I was a child and the movie is excellent. Worth waiting for. My children were captivated.
It worked in Safari for me.
Saw it. Really liked it. 4 out of 5 stars. The acting and direction are excellent. I think Georgie and Will have great careers ahead of them. The sets are beautiful. The ship is outstanding. Gael is a great add to the story. I liked the interplay between Lucy and Gael. It will take a while for me to get used to the swords added to the film (3 of 5 stars). The green mist is a minus, overdone (2 of 5 stars). I love the editing, the story really flows. I did not look at my watch even once. The only thing that bothers me is that sometimes Reepicheep is right-handed (with sword on his left) and sometimes is left-handed (with sword on his right). They should have caught that one but did not. The ending is better that the book. Best ending so far. I am pleasantly surprised. I loved the reference to Jill Pole (Silver Chair anyone?), and Eustace referring to his conversations with Lucy and Edmond. Nice closure. I will see at least once more this weekend. There were not many people at my theater. This could be bad news. The audience looked like a Prince Caspian audience.
Maybe Reep is left AND right handed with his sword.
I checked again. When Dragon Eustace first attacked the ship, and Reepicheep runs up the mast, the scabbard is on the left. After Reep sticks Eustace and puts his sword back the scabbard is on his right. This is production oversight. I do not know why this bothers me, but it does.
I enjoyed the movie more the second time, 4.5 of 5. The green mist was better the second time, still not great. Tomorrow I will make it three. I tried to help PC by going eight times.
