I know that this is very off topic, but while we’re waiting for any news we can get about the next Narnia film, I thought I’d bring your attention to another positive film that is releasing this weekend. Courageous. It’s from the studio that produced both Facing the Giants and Fireproof. With each film, the quality of work that this studio does seems to improve. When I went to England for the Dawn Treader premiere, we talked a bit about this movie and the studio behind it.
Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, they are confident and focused, standing up to the worst the streets have to offer. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood.
When tragedy strikes home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God … and to their children? Protecting the streets is second nature. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That’s courageous.

I am so looking forward to seeing this movie!!!
I got to see this film in a pre-release screening and it was terrific — I liked it even better than Fireproof. Although the plot kept going and going a bit long, the message themes and storyline were powerful (NB: bring tissues) and even hilarious at times.
On the way to the parking lot after the film my daughter was mimicking lines from one of the funny scenes and we were laughing so hard we could scarcely find our car!
My friend got to see this at a leader’s preview a few months ago… she said it was fantastic, and she’s not even the type who really likes movies. Can’t wait to see it!
I saw the trailer when we went to see Soul Surfer. Looks awesome!
