  1. Iam looking forward to the C.S lewis movie coming to the cinema In 2012. I’m a big fan of cs lewis, and I will not want to miss the movie.

  2. Cool! This is sorta like a Narnia film! I just might have to go see this if it goes to the theater.

  3. I have always been intrigued by the friendship of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis with how they’ve inspired each others writing and faith. This will be a “must see” film!

    • Further down this comment column you will find a message dated 02 February in which I state a biographical source for C S Lewis. What I omitted to mention in this message is that there is also a ‘next-door neighbour’ 6 page biographical article on the life of J R R Tolkein in this same Tree of Knowledge encyclopedia. Although not a fan of the Lord of The Rings film trilogy (too much long hair and bushy beards for my liking) this biography is still just as good as the one for C S Lewis. It’s a shame really that Marshall Cavendish have not done an update of this encyclopedia since the early 1990’s (at least not that I’m aware of). Incidentally, for what’s it worth, the Lord of The Rings trilogy was originally written by Tolkein as a bedtime story for his young children and he did not consider it for publication until his old age.

  4. Who’s doing the screenplay? What are they basing it on?

I’ve read good and bad biographies of Lewis…

    • Darren Jacobs and Louis Markos are writing the screenplay. Darren Jacobs went through one draft of it line by line with Douglas Gresham as well. I actually have it, and though I can’t divulge anything, I love it.

  5. As both a Tolkein and Lewis fan in the utmost degree, it broke my mind when I discovered they were friends. And now this … I fear i may be about to implode. THIS IS AWESOME!

  6. I am pleased that a film about the life of C S Lewis is on the way. Back in the early 1990’s a six page biographical article on the life story of C S Lewis appeared in a part work encyclopedia called The Tree of Knowledge here in England. This article gave a very good account of Lewis’s life and it will be interesting to compare this with the film version. I’ve not heard anything anywhere recently about the next Narnia film. Is this biopic meant to fill in time?

    • Same here Chris…I’m excited about it also. I just hope they stay historically correct. 😉

By the way…your name Attwood is totally English and awesome. 🙂

  7. Is this THE C.S. Lewis Movie we’ve been told about or something else? I saw it was called “The C.S. Lewis Movie” first, then “Jack’s Story.” Is this the same project?

  8. Wow! This looks really cool! I can’t wait to see it! It will help make waiting for the next Narnia movie a little more bearable! 🙂

  9. Wow that’s a cool name for a C.S. Lewis movie…totally Narnian and Lewis. I really want to go see it.
