A few months ago The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was announced for release on Blu-ray and DVD, but no 3D version was in sight. In fact, it looked as though that release was never going to happen. That changed today with the sudden release of the 3D version of the film as part of a 3D Starter Pack from Sony.
The film is also releasing in Japan on 3D Blu-ray as well as in Steelbook packaging.

It seems that the WGA strike has in fact pushed the start of filming from the summer into the fall of this year.
