Open the Wardrobe to Lego Narnia

If you open the doors of this wardrobe you will find a surprisingly ingenious animated diorama depicting scenes from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This creation was made by Parsom as part of Lego Ideas which allows individuals to submit their own creations for consideration to be make into a real Lego set. If you would like to see Lego Narnia sets like this a real products on the shelf you can go to https://ideas.lego.com/projects/c03edd30-3a26-48cb-95fa-e7741878dbfc (Update: This project expired after gathering 1,858 supporters, but has been re-uploaded here) and vote to support the project. There is no cost to vote and once the set has 10,000 supporters it could become an official product. Previous success stories include WALL•E Project, Doctor Who and Companions, and Tron Legacy which each started as fan submissions before becoming official Lego products.

One of the most incredible features of this set is that it features interchangeable animated scenes to tell the story of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. The project video below demonstrates different storytelling possibilities including recreating scenes – Lucy meets Tumnus, Edmund meets White Witch, Children and Mr. Beaver. Altogether the set is made up of approximately 2000 pieces including nine minifigs (Lucy, Tumnus, The White Witch, Edmund, Ginarr-brick, Susan, Peter, Mr. Beaver and Father Christmas). The wardrobe’s exterior itself is richly decorated and the drawers work as actual storage compartments for the interchangeable scenes. Perhaps one of the most unexpected surprises for a Lego set is that the lamppost actually lights up and illuminates the glow in the dark night sky.
