Harry Gregson-Williams composes X-Men Origins: Wolverine

  1. I wish that Haryy Gregson-Williams was going to compose for VDT. He did an amazing job with LWW and PC. Does anybody know why he isn’t going to compose VDT? I don’t think I like this new guy (David Arnold)very much either. I read an interview of him and I did not like his attitude about VDT. This is what he had to say:
” The one thing I love about those things is that there are no rules. Nothing is actually real, you don’t actually have to worry about having a responsibility to truthfulness in a real sense; it’s just about how to make the film’s feeling and heighten the film’s effectiveness. You’re not telling a true story. It’s not like Amazing Grace which was a film about something that really happened, a film that has actually affected real people… A giant talking lion (in Narnia) is not the same sense of responsibility.”
It seems to me that he is just writing VDT off as some little kid’s fantasy story that he doesn’t have to take seriously, as if it isn’t important. I hope he realizes how amazing the music of Narnia has been thus far. It has really enhanced the movies for me. I just hope he doesn’t end up being a huge dissapointment to all of us.

    • OMG… I agree. He sounds like he doesn’t understand Narnia.
If he wants examples of ‘real people’ that have been affected by Narnia, he can come and talk to me!
I love what Harry Gregson-Williams has done.
