Well, the Internet Movie Database has done it again, with a photograph of actor Roy Billing in costume as the Chief Dufflepud. I had seen photos of other Dufflepuds while on the set, and this photo kind of surprised me. The ones that I saw aren’t quite as dwarf-like as this. However, I only saw a few examples of them, so they might have been younger variations.
What do you think of the look of this particular Dufflepud? Is it how you imagined the Chief Dufflepud to look? And remember, the Dufflepuds have only one leg. I know that they shot with actors from the waist up, but have no idea how they’re managing to animate them with their single leg. What are your thoughts?

Well I can honestly say this isn’t how I imagined the Dufflepuds to look. It’s a bit disappointing to me that they look like this, but who knows? Once the film comes out and we get to see them in action, we might not care how they look.

He kind of reminds me of a mix of Trumpkin and Gimli. At first I was like, “Uhhh…that’s not how I thought they would look” but I think this is cool!!! No, I don’t think that’s exactly how I imagined him, , but I think they’ll do a good job making the Dufflepuds. I’m guessing they’ll do the Dufflepud’s leg out of CG (computer graphics), but maybe use the actual actor for the upper half…sort of like what they did with the centaurs.
Oh my gosh, he looks like a munchkin! I frankly dont care how they look, (although I was dissapointed about how the Telmarines had black hair and Lucy had brown, they were both supposed to be blonde, look it up)just as long as they still act cluless and annoying I’ll be fine.
Hahahaha! I love the crazy hair! XD Actually, I’m liking the dwarf-ish look. Isn’t that more mythologically accurate, after all?

My word! This is fantastic! He looks like a maniac! 😀 (Not that I ever thought the Chief Dufflepod would be a maniac.) But he does look perfect. Not exactly how I imagined him, but he’s perfect.

Not how I imagined them, but of course when you read a book, you never actually create different characters for different ages. I made them young in my mind, but seeing an older Dufflepud doesn’t bother me at all. I think I could adjust to this.

Luckily I first saw the photo before it was removed. I must say it was definately not how I picture the Chief.. But I guess every has a different vision.
Oh, I hate when this happens. You put something up and then it goes away because of expiration or it was not ready to be released or something. I had similar experience with Harry Potter article. Anyways, looks like I will see it later in the future. I will just have to take all of your words for it.
