I mentioned a few weeks ago that Samaritan’s Purse has something awesome for the Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in the works.

that is really cool and i will enter it after October 26, when i turn 18. can’t wait to show my school and have it known.
And what about Narnia Fans from other countries than US?
I have participated in “Operation Christmas Child” for several years now….there is NOTHING more satisfying than filling a shoe-box, and praying over it as you send it on it’s way. My kids & I always filled two–one for a boy, & one for a girl, and made a big shopping trip out of it. They are grown & gone, but I still look forward each year to carrying on the tradition. The Salvation Stories coming from the “OCC” efforts will rip your heart out…God has a way of placing your Shoe-box in exactly the right hands. One witness this past year was of a non-Christian young girl in Eastern Europe receiving “shoes” as one of the items in her box. The shoes that she wore were too small, and duct-taped & wired together….she was so overcome with wonder that someone half way around the world would send her shoes. She gave her life to Christ, as a result of someone showing the Love of Christ through a simple Shoe-box. You will be blessed for doing this.
Amen to that. My family always fills shoeboxes in the fall…. it’s such a huge blessing not only to the people we send it to, or to Samaritan’s purse, but to us as well.
And did you know they have this new thing where you can get a tracking number and see which part of the world it went to? Way cool!
Looks unfair… Im in Brazil so cant do it… =/
This is SOOOO COOL! I’m so happy there is finally a contest thing in America, and for such a prize!
I was already going to do Operation Christmas Child, it is insanely fun when you are little and get to shop for another child. Now I am DEFFINATELY no doubt in my mind going to do at least two! I remember doing it with my mom when I was young and I always thought of it as shopping for a friend I didn’t know yet. Now I’m older and just really enjoy doing these and taking my little sis along to help. I do have a question though, how many times can you enter? I’d be fine with once, but if it is a multiple thing than I will be there every day :P. I’ve skimmed the rules, too excited to read thoroughly quite yet! Thanks for posting this!!
I am soooooo going to do this!!! Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!! 🙂
Paul, do you know of any way where my dad (a pastor) could make that video and promotion available to our church? He loves Narnia and would love to promote it.
I’ll see if I can get some information. If anything, you can always hook a laptop up to a projector.
Thanks! I tried looking on Samaritan’s Purse Official website for information, but didn’t find out if they offered any promotionals…I think our church gets an OPeration Christmas Child dvd every year, so it could be on that.
I’m so going to do this. I already help out with OCC with my family and my youth group, and this is going to make it so much more fun. The only problem is if you win, you’ve got to make sure you have a passport. And I’m not sure how long it takes to get a full one. It took me about a month and a half to three months to get a passport card that allows you into Canada in Mexico. Other than that, really excited to do this.
That would be so cool to be at the premiere. And to help Samaritan’s Purse, you can’t lose.
I really wanted to enter, but only people in the USA are able to participate. So that’s to bad. Is there any more information on the date of the premiere in London? Cause I really want to go, and I kinda have to book a flight and a place to stay. (I live in the Netherlands) Hope there will be some operation like this for other country’s.
This is wonderful! My family and I have done this several time before and it’s just precious to think of those kids receiving gifts!
I think it’s a great idea for Narnia to link up and it is a wonderful representation of the Love of Christ.
It’s just great!
(Oh, btw…Georgie has grown up so much 😉 )
woo its a great idea !!!!
hey!! Can I participate, If I`m from Mexico?
Ups … I participated before reading the rules (and am not from the Us ..) Bad??
Anyway definitely gonna fill a shoe box later on 🙂
