Here it is, and it looks like this time it is official: Simon Pegg, the latest actor that recorded dialog for the voice of Reepicheep, has been confirmed on the official site. There was some doubt, as Bill Nighy had previously been announced for the role of the noble mouse.
As many of you know, Reepicheep is director Michael Apted’s favorite character, so it is possible that he wanted to see the film at near completion with the voice to be absolutely certain that he was happy with it.

Well done, Simon! I actually look forward to hearing someone less familiar as Reepicheep, even though I think Eddie Izzard did a good job, you sort of can’t forget that feeling of “I know who that is…”

What was wrong with the old voice? I loved it…though I really wanted it to be a bit squeaky, like it was in the Focus on the Family Radio drama. I am looking forward to seeing what the new voice is like thought.
