VDT Theatrical Poster Surfaces

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

A Polish film website, aptly named FilmWeb, has posted what looks like the official theatrical poster for “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.”

According to our friends at NarniaWeb, a loose translation of the tagline into English is “Take a Voyage of Adventure and Discover Narnia As You’ve Never Seen It Before.” (Updated with French and English versions!)

This poster offers the first “official” look at Eustace Scrubb in dragon form. The rest of the character shots are carried over from previous promotional material.

  1. Okay, White Witch with green eyes, Reepicheep has a really stupid smile on his face. All in all, not the best theatrical poster we’ve seen for the franchise. It’s almost as if, with this poster, that Fox is willing people NOT to see it.

    • Yes, I’m sure Fox – having invested tens of millions of dollars in this production – is secretly hoping no one goes to see VDT.

      (Eye roll)

      • hahah thnks mike! the dragon looks cool to me… and the witch looks weird but reep’s smile rocks!

  2. @QueenHelen I don’t think that is the White Witch I think that is a star… And I happen to think this is a decent movie poster!!

  3. very very happy to see the new poster of chronicles of narnia.will eagerly await its release.

  4. I think the smiling Reepicheep is a good balance in a poster that without him could be too serious and dramatic.

  5. I’m liking the dragon…. different than I’ve imagined it, but with more character this way.

    Can’t wait for December!

    • exactly what I was thinking
Manuel: you are right reep makes the poster a million times better!

  6. wooooooooooow! the new trailer looks awsome. I think the dragon looks pretty good in action and the scenes with the serpent are epic!! The serpent is not what I imagined it would be but who cares, this one is huge too! 😛

The only thing I don’t like is that they cut the scenes with the merpeople out of the film. the only thing we see are waternymph’s

  7. Wow! the witch looks evil, and i LOVE reepicheeps smile:D! cant wait to see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. EVERYBODY,HURRY…SEE THE NEW TRAILER ..IT’S THE BEST SO FAR….
I’m too excited..Looks like it won’t be so bad after all.
It just gave me some hope… 🙂 🙂

    • The trailer is great..Love the part where Eustace faints and the dragon looks nice..the sea serpent looks terrific and kinda dangerous…Llliandil looks amazing,really..and Georgie’s acting is fantastic to that Ed & Caspian “no” part.

I don’t like that “true power being releAsed ” part..Why ,the white witch????And the whole 7 swords thing is….hmm..Just hope they don’t make it the theme of the whole voyage..
the dark island is perfect according to me…

Hope for the best..Look at the positive side of things..We all know that it is not going to be exactly like the book.Though I believe the movie will be fantastic in it’s own way…PRAY FOR THE MOVIE AND THAT IT’LL BE NICE,ABOVE ALL

      ASLAN IS ON THE MOVE!!!!

  9. why is it that susan and peter are n0t there?????but still…I cant wait 2 see the m0vie!!

  10. Also, the signature music is back :)..In the fight scene at narrowhaven,we can see Lucy fighting with a sword………

  11. I agree that the major weakness of this poster is Aslan’s funny looking smile. While I understand that Fox maybe trying to communicate to families that this movie isn’t as dark as Prince Caspian, taking the “good, but not tame” Aslan and making him look cartoonish on the poster isn’t the route to go. Also Reepicheep is known for his dignity and honor, the idea of using him for comic relief on the poster just doesn’t work either. Hope they make can still make a couple of changes to the poster, but the international trailer does look AWESOME!
