I had the honor of being able to attend this screening. I have chosen not to post a review of the film until I see the officially completed version. I will not review the film, but I will briefly post a few thoughts about the movie. The film was able to to include the key elements of the book in a shorter amount of time with a very good pace. The strength of this film was that it was an extremely entertaining character centered movie. Eustace, Reepicheep, and Gael had absolutely fantastic characters. There were several changes to the story, but as a whole it was a very enjoyable film.

  1. Wow! I’m super excited to see the movie, David, did the official theme song played at the end of the movie?

  2. Thanks for letting us know how you feel. 🙂

Just curious, did you feel the theme of Reepicheep longing for Aslan’s Country came through strongly in the film?

    • Yes. The new voice of Reepicheep is fantastic. There is a line of dialogue where he tells of his longing to reach Aslan’s Country.

      • thank god, eddie izzard was wrong wrong wrong for the role. not that he doesnt do a cute , funny mouse for another movie, but reepicheep was portrayed as the opposite of the true character. his interview for the dvd had me saying, are you kidding, did you have any idea what the character was supposed to be about? reep was NOT a crazy, lunatic attack maniac! i doubt izzard even read the book (same with trumpkin, bet the actor never read the book- he played it the exact opposite of the book-trumpin was not sour, the black dwarf was. )

        • Actually, most people don’t think that Peter Dinklage (Trumpkin) was any different than the book Trumpkin. Neither was Reepicheep. Trumpkin was a skeptic, something that came across very well in the movie. He wasn’t portrayed as bitter; only very, very skeptical of the children and of Aslan. Give me hard core examples from the movie where Reep and Trumpkin were portrayed as opposites (i.e. lines and dialogue, along with scene descriptions), otherwise your argument has holes all over it.

  3. Okay, one more question and then I’ll stop bothering you. 🙂
Do you agree with Tirian that the ending was emotional? Did you think it was as good as the ending for the first two films?

    Thanks!

  4. Uh, Mr. Sutton, is Edmund called “The High King” in the movie? Was the soundtrack better than the first two? Besides keeping the main Narnia theme, did Mr. Arnold keeping other themes? (Such as Caspian’s theme, The wardrobe theme, and so on.)Thanks! I’m sure the film was really exciting!!

    • PLEASE post the link I would LOVE to see it. THough I haven’t heard anything about it.
