Rangers of the Dancing Lawn III

"But I can't rest!" Elindil called after him, sitting back up. "We've got to burn the orks...take the pirates somewhere and set up camp somewhere else!" She got hurriedly to her feet, holding her shoulder with her other hand.

"Arr...there'll be no need to take us anywhere, thank ye kindly," Fish said harshly. "With yer permission, not that we need it, we'll be takin' our leave now."

Fish stood up and unhooked the dagger from the makeshift belt she had made. She tossed it on the ground next to Elindil. "Thanks, mate, but I wouldn't want to be accused o' stealin'." Fish said, glancing in the direction of Sabriel. "Though, I wouldn't say no to stealin' her boat... Aye, Machia, if yer ready, what say ye to gittin' to the mainland? Arr...I think our mates will head to Cair Paravel when they git back to Narnia... Aye..."

Sabriel was readying her horse when she felt someone glanced at her. She looked to her right and saw Fish looked the other way as soon as Sabriel looked her way. "Migle, please pass me Lara," she said.

Migle reached down to the floor and picked up a sword. "What is it with you naming things? I have yet to name my horse and you have already named your sword," she said as she gave Lara over to Sabriel.

"I like my things to have a named," Sabriel pouted. "Anyways, have you heard any news on the Pirates? she asked Migle.

"Well, news around the camp is that they will be going over to Cair Paravel to await some other pirates....Maybe I should go with them. It would be nice to see some pirates!" she said. But Sabriel didn't take this well, she took out Lara and knocked Migle to the ground pointing it at her.

"How dare you even think of betraying us?" she yelled. "What good will it do to us for you or any of us to await some pirates?!" she said.

Migle and Sabriel noticed those around her to be staring at them. Sabriel quickly put away her sword and helped Migle off the ground.

Elindil sat up. "Fish, don't be stupid. Fine, have your leave, but to go out there with nothing but a sword is to invite death. Take the dagger, and make a pack with some food and medical supplies."

Fish nodded. "Arr...thank ye, mate. An' I be sorry fer takin' me anger out on ye..."

Migle walked over to where Fish, Machia, Elindil, and Eruedraith were gathered. "So..." she said, "You pirates are going over to the mainland?" Fish nodded. Migle continued, "and...the other pirates are going to meet you there?"

"We think so," Fish said.

"Well, if the stories are true, and you haven't been around here for over 400 years, you'll need a guide, won't you? I mean, you're still in Narnia, but Saruman's forces have changed so much of it... And, well, I know your whole crew already, at least by name... My grandmum was filled with stories about you all..."

Fish looked at Machia, but she couldn't tell what he was thinking... Finally, she smiled and nodded. "Aye, mate, we'd love to have ye along..."

Eruedraith turned towards the injured Elendil, "Now, you must have some rest." After helping Elendil lie down, he bathed the wound and bound it with bandages. "Now drink this it will help you sleep," he gave her a little sip of a red liquid from a glass bottle, almost instantly Elendil fell asleep.

Two piles had been gathered next to eachother: one for the spare food that had been strewn about the battlefield, and another for the likewise medical supplies. Fish took a bag and began to gather some of the food, trying to choose items that were less perishable, as she didn't know where she and Machia would find more food. Machia had taken a bag and was choosing a few select medical supplies. They intended on leaving with Migle at first light of day.

ooc- Aye..:D and as soon as Tiff sees this, she and Fish are going to have a long awaited stand off...:D

I'm game if you are!

Night time descended upon the Ranger's camp and Sabriel found herself lighting a torch. Angry that Euredraith placed a sleeping spell on their leader, Sabriel was going to taken upon herself to gather the remaining Rangers (hat is if they were even going to listen to her), along with all the animals and weapons necessary to survive.

With torch in hand, Sabriel walked over to one of the scouting Rangers. "Do you have a map of the location?" the ranger asked her.

Sabriel glanced over her shoulder and saw Fish and Machia resting by a tree talking. "Not until we get rid of the filthy pirates," she whispered. But that whisper wasn't low enough, for her words got to Fish's ear.

Fish gritted her teeth and ignored the comment, but Sabriel didn't stop there. So long as a ranger laughed, she contined her snide comments about Fish and Machia.

Fish teleported right in front of Sabriel's face, with her sword already drawn. "Elindil's asleep, mate, but even if she weren't, there ain't much she could do to stop me. Draw yer sword."

"Do you seriously intend on making a show?" Sabriel said looking down on Fish. "Either way, Lara only fights those who are worth killing. If in the end I end up killing a pirate, what good does that do to me? It's not like I'm going to move up in rank for killing a pirate. I'd be surprise if your body didn't evaporate as soon as I drive Lara right into your mid-section," she said. Some of the Rangers laughed at Fish and at Sabriel's comments which enraged Fish.

ooc-btw Lara is the name of Sabriel's sword.

Fish felt her face flush. She felt alone and small, and threw a dirty glance at Machia, who had somehow found an apple and was sitting against a tree.

"Ranger, ye've no idea the amount of battles I've been in. Ye consider killin' two dozen orcs a big feat? Ha! I saw the rise of Saruman, and I defeated his allies. We held him off fer as long as we were in Narnia. Seems to me, ye haven't done such a good job o' that, and ye haven't even had to deal with Saruman himself. So before ye go runnin' yer mouth, let's see what ye can do with a sword." Fish jabbed her sword toward Sabriel's right shoulder.
