Sonnets Here, In-House

Benisse, Maggie, thank you, I loved seeing both your "guest sonnets!" Maggie, seeing your line about newcomers brings to mind that, for God knows what irrational reason (certainly not any reason that was given to me), ONE forum newcomer quite recently CHOSE to be afraid of me, and to make a big deal out of the blue sky to the effect of not wanting to hear from me ever. Fine, I say to that person, delighted to oblige, hope you get over the paranoia someday.

^_^
I didn't... up till now, Professor Joe.
But this subject might start a discussion among the TDL members that visit this thread, so we should get back in track to your amazing sonnets. :)
Thank you, Professor. :)

Back to sonnets, you want? Okay....

FOR GINNY'S PUPPY

"Both man and beast Thou savest," says one Psalm;
So I'm not out in left field when I say
That there's no reason dogs can't go to play
Where they'll be petted by a nail-pierced palm.

Ginebra, my sweet pupil in the South,
Says that her darling puppy Byron died;
This means he's romping on the Other Side,
Where angels toss the frisbee to his mouth.

My sister Ricki lost a cat, and this
Helped her see: Heaven kept her treasure there.
When you, Ginebra, breathe in Heaven's air,
I'm sure you'll also get a puppy-kiss.

If some ask why, I'll say, "Why NOT let beasts,
Who never sinned, share in eternal feasts?"

---- "Professor Joe"

I......
This literally brought tears to my eyes. Professor, thank you very much. I really needed to hear wise words in this sad hour, and you brought a smile back to my reddish face now :)
Byron would've liked it. He was the happiest puppy in the world.
^_^
I'll show it to my family and friends. They will love it. You're very talented!
^_^
Gugs!

Your sweet pupil from the South..... :p I liked that phrase, heehee.

Aww that was so cute and thoughtful. :) Like I said before, you're always touching people's lives, Mr. Fox (I can't seem to stick to one name for you. It's always a surprise as to what comes out.).

FOR HAILEY

The nickname "Unforgotten Memories"
Is borne by someone unforgettable:
A beautiful young woman, one who sees
What some dismiss as imperceptible.

She reads a work of pleasant fiction, and
Sees into the emotions borne inside
The writer's heart--how his invention spanned
Real life and purest make-believe combined.

If Alipang, Chilena and the rest
Existed in reality, they would
Greet Hailey as a friend, one of the best,
Who'd peer into their souls to find the good.

Then Kim would play a Tori Amos song,
While telling Hailey, "Come on, dance along!"

I love them both!!!A wonderful job as always, uncle Joe.

Beautiful job, Professor Joe. :) As usual. Btw, I showed your sonnet for Byron to my family. They loved it, they want me to thank you and they all say you're a very talented writer. Please, publish a book soon!!! ^_^ lol
I loved the sonnet for unforgotten memories, is really sweet. :)

I 've made various efforts. As a matter of fact, my "Sophia Renee" got set up with an on-demand publisher by my sister Ricki as a gift to me; I can track down the company for people's reference here.

Have you ever considered publishing any of your works, 'Professor Joe'? :p
WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!!

He's MY Professor Joe............... *points with her sword to Princey*

lol, jk, jk, it's just weird, haha, since I think I'm the only girl in TDL, I think, that calls him that way. But Joe's been what I really call a Professor, not just teaching me to write stories, but to handle hard situations and have fun :p

I call him Professor as well because he's given me much things to think about. Stretching my mind with thought-provoking blogs really teaches one a lot of things...:)
