I think this part is sweet :):

Neither kitten spoke for awhile, then Shady looked back at Fire.

“I guess dats why my mummy and papa died. ‘Cause da White Cat wasn’t lookin’ after us.”
Fire shrugged, “Mozart also say that he still cares for dee other creatures and wants they to believe in him. I wish Mozart was here, she alays knows what to do.”
“She you big sista?”
“No, but she like one. I love her.”
“I don’t love Claw.” Fire looked at Shady this time. The small cat’s head was drooped and she looked very sad. Fireheart suddenly felt something she had never experienced before: Compassion for another creature. But could she be friends with Shady? After what the kitten did to her and her siblings?

‘The White Cat was my friend even when I was bad. Maybe I should be Shady’s friend even though she was bad.’ Fire made up her mind.

“I’ll be your friend, Shady.” The little orange cat said softly.
Shady smiled, to the smile first to her knowledge that she had ever smiled in her life.
“Thanks Fire.”

Chapter seven
A Meeting of paths

“Brave, wake up!”

Braveheart groaned and curled tighter into a ball.
“Braveheart wake up!” the voice was annoyed now.
“Fine Silver, I’m up, I’m up.” Brave uncurled himself and sat up. He surveyed their pitiful camp.

“Where’s Shaggs?”
“He went hunting while you were sleeping.”
“Mhmm…”
“I told you it was silly to go off trying to do sneak attacks on Claw, but you didn’t lissen and this is what you get.” Reproved Silver.
“Aw come off it Sil, there was no real harm done…”
“No harm done?!? You nearly got us all killed! And you were wounded in the process.”

Brave reached a paw up and touched his right front leg. It had been hit by an arrow during the three kits small unsuccessful raid. Then they had had to run so it hurt even worse. Silver had dressed the wound as best she could, but she was not skilled in medicine.

Suddenly Shaggy came running through the trees like a arrow from the string.
“There’s, some… cats… saw… seven. Didn’t see me.” He said between gasps.
“Oh no.” groaned Silver.
“Well let’s go see what they want!” Brave stood painfully, reminded again of his wound, “Lead the way Shaggs!”

Silver sighed and went with her two brothers.

Presently the kits came to the edge of a large clearing. The LFF Catlition was sleeping on the ground in the clearing, looking altogether peaceful.
“They’re just kits!” hissed Silver.
“Ya, but see they got swords.” Pointed out Shaggy
“We also have ears.” Mozart suddenly leapt up, sword in paw, the other kits followed.
“Who are you and what do you want? Speak quickly!” cautioned Dorthy who was fitting an arrow on her bowstring.

Awwww, Fire is so sweet.

Awwww, Fire is so sweet.

Hey a new reader!:D

“Who are you and what do you want? Speak quickly!” cautioned Dorthy who was fitting an arrow on her bowstring.
Toto pushed Dorthy’s bow downwards until the arrow-tip touched the ground.

“Dor, no need to be hasty now, they’re about our age and don’t even have proper weapons…”
“We do so have proper weapons!” cried Brave indignantly. He held up an old rusty dagger as if to prove this. Silver held her bow (the sting had long since rotted and the arrows tossed away) that she used for a weapon and walking stick. Shaggy was the only one with a sword.

“Oh that I can see.” Caspian retorted.
“Oh all of you! We’re more curtious than that, aren’t we?”
“On that matter, who are you?” Silver asked, her eyes darting back and forth to each of them.

The kittens grinned at each other.
“Oh we are da brave
We are da fearless
We stand true
Fer everything good!
We fear nobody,
For nobody’d ever challenge us!
Once they all see our bravery,
They flee in fear!
Dee LFF Catlition!
Every evil creature fears us!
An they say,
‘No please,
Not the LFF Catlition!’
LFF Catlition, LFF Catlition!
Tis our battle cry,
We are braver than any kitten,
Because we are,
The LFF Catlitiooooooon!”

Brave, Silver and Shaggy stared at each other for a moment, then burst out laughing.

Instantly Dorthy’s bow was back up and aimed at Braveheart.
“You laughin’ at me an’ my siblings and friends?” she hissed dangerously, “My sister Mozart made up that song, you laughin’ at her?”
The other three stopped laughing and looked fearfully at Dorthy.

“Haha, ok kits! Afore this gets outta paw ole Sanga will come down to settle this!”
Sanga jumped down from the tree and stood between Dorthy and Brave, Silver and Shaggy.

Mozart shook her head sadly.

“Oh Dorthy, when will you learn? I’m sorry about my sister, she’s a bit instinctual…”
“I’d have done summat too iffin Dorthy hadn’t threatened them first.” Muttered Caspian.
“And so is my brother Caspian, but they’ll stick with you like burs. You’ll never get rid of them, they’re loyal and brave and kind… and just a little crazy.” Mozart smiled hugely for such a tiny kitten.
“Who are you?” whispered Shaggy.
“Just who we said; the LFF Catlition, who I am the leader of.”
“Oh.”

“Yup! Now who are you?” Frodo felt it was about time he said something.
“Oh, well I’m Braveheart, that’s my sis Silver and my bro Shaggy.”
“Pleased to meet you, I’m Mozart. These are my siblings and friends: Dorthy’s the one with the bow, Toto’s the one with the strict face, Caspian’s the one with his sword drawn. Frodo’s the little gray tom, Smokey is the completely gray one and Shadow is the black kitten. Oh and Sanga, he’s the oldest.”

“So what brings you to Freedom Forest?” asked Toto.
“Oh so that’s what this place is called!” exclaimed Silver, “But if Claw has been here it may need re-naming…”
“She’s bossy.” Frodo muttered to Smokey and Shadow.

“Who is Claw?” asked several voices.

The other three stared incredulously at them.

“You haven’t heard of Claw?!?” they all squeaked.
“No, leastways not by that name.” replied Mozart.
“Oh he’s horrid! His ugly fur, yellow eyes…”
“And huge long claws, right?”
“Yeah, but how’d you know that if you’ve never heard of him afore?”
“He was Cogg’s pet. His real name is Tigerclaw, he must’ve changed it.” Mozart shook her tiny head, “Oh now we know Ribbony was right! It is Tigerclaw!”
“We gotta get goin’ iffin he has our little siblins!” cried Smokey.

“Hey! Then we have the same purpose! Claw has our sister.” Burst out Shaggy.
“What was your sister’s name?” asked Caspian purely out of curiosity.
“Hope.”
“WHAT?!?!”
“Get them! Tie ‘em to a tree! Smack ‘em wit our swords!” cried Frodo who tried to charge at the newcomers.

“Whats his problem?” asked Silver.
“Your sister helped kittennap our siblings!” cried Smokey before the older ones could say a thing.

“Not Hopie!”
“Yes huh! Dat scoundrel helped capture our siblins!”

“EVERYONE STOP IT!” Mozart screamed, “FIGHTING ISN’T GOING TO HELP EITHER OF OUR SIBLINGS!!”

They all stared at each other, then started laughing, but they didn’t know why.
“So I guess we’re all in the same boat! I suppose Mozart is right, we should get along!” chuckled Caspian.
“Friends?” Mozart held her paw out to the three.
“Friends.” Came the reply, and Brave took her outstretched paw.

Hhmmm... I think so. I'll let you know when you finish this one and I re-read them.

I like the first one better so far, but this one is good too.... wonder what I'll do with the last one....?;)

Kay, more:

It was then Mozart saw he had an injury.
“I’m afraid we’ll have to do something about your injury there, else it will only slow us down.”
“Yea, but dressin’ it again will take longer.” Contradicted Silver.
“No, ‘cause I’m not gonna dress it.” Mozart took out her little cordial and unwrapped the clumsy bandage on Brave’s leg. She let one drop from the cordial fall onto his leg, muttering something as she did.
Suddenly the pain Brave had been experiencing for near two days was completely gone. He stared at his leg, it was wholly healed with only a tiny scar marking the place the wound had been.

“Well what on the earth!” he gasped.

Mozart winked and said, “How’s that for healing?”
Silver just stared.

Chapter eight
The First obstacle

“Ow! Dat hurts!” Tansy stuck her tiny paw into her mouth.
“I jus asked for a lil more bead.”
“You mean bread, Tansy.” corrected her sister Pumpkin.
“I stills ony asked he did no haveta hit my paw.”
“Sssh! Here’s Shades.” Whispered Fire.
“I still no unnerstand why you like her.” Jako whispered back.
“‘Cause we’re real friends, dats why.” Hissed Shady as she came up.
“I got dis.” She held out a pawful of ripe blackberries to them. The kittens took them eagerly.

As she popped a blackberry into her mouth Tansy looked at the other slaves. They got no more than the kits normally would if Shady had not saved them some extra. Fire was not the only one who had compassion for others.

“We should share wit the others.” She murmured to her siblings.
“Why?” asked Creamy.
“Because dey hungry too.” Tansy took a berry Creamy was about to pop in his mouth right out of his paw.
“I is gonna share. Youse can help iffin you want.” Fire and Pumpkin joined her and reluctantly so did Creamy and Jako. Slowly the kits passed around the berries, making them last until all the slaves had gotten one.

Fire had one left. She noticed one kitten sitting away from the others and went over to her.
It was Hope.
“Did you get a blackaberry?” the kitten asked.
“I don’t deserve one.” Hope hung her head and couldn’t look the kit in the eye.
“Take it anyway.” Fire pushed the berry into Hope’s paw, then slunk back to her siblings.

OMG THESE KITTENS ARE SO DARN CUTE!
*cough*

Thanks.:)

It was the next morning and now the third day since the kittens ventured into Freedom Forest. Yet the massive trees had remained until then, silent guardians watching over them. Now though they came out of the forest and Fire was sad to leave it; for the forest seemed her last connection with home and now they had left it. Fire, Tansy, Creamy, Jako and Pumpkin continued to look back at the great sea of trees till they were only a long dark spot.

*Stays caught up. For the moment*

As a side note, you may wanna check out Freak Show.

good.
And I did, an' I liked the update very much thank you!:D

Fire stared ahead and around the other slaves. She saw a huge plain looming in front of her. Once and awhile Ribbony had hinted that beyond Freedom Forest was a huge desert.
"After you cross the River there are no streams or water save small springs for miles and miles. Only great expanses of nothingness with little trees."

Then Dora, Rita or Tori would stop him so he wouldn't 'Frighten the little ones'. Well they had crossed the river about a mile out from the forest at its shallowest part at least two hours ago.
It was about three o-clock when they stopped. Claw had the slaves feed, watered and tied, then took no further intrest in them.

"How big is da desert, Claw?" asked Shady who had never seen the desert before. Indeed most of the creatures hadn't; they had lived in the west or the east, nowhere near the desert.
"Ten times larger than that pitiful forest!" came the sneering reply, "And its a good thing you're no slave, Shady, because the slaves are the first to have their rations cut when we start to run outta water!" he laughed. Shady looked grave and a little sad, but didn't let Claw see her emotions.

I hope they don't run out of water!

*whistles inocently* hum de hum de hum......:p

But Mozart and her friends were right behind Claw. They had filled their water-bottles up in the river (they, unlike the kittens, knew of the desert and its deadly sands) and continued on hurriedly. None of them, not even Sanga, had been further than the river which flowed around Freedom Forest. Just in case Claw took the desert route though they had four water-bottles apiece, even FSS.

Dorthy gasped when she saw the massive expanse of sand-covered baren land before them.
"We have to cross that?" she squeaked.
"If we want to get the kits back, then yes." Sanga said quietly.
"Do you know about the desert, Sanga? We've only ever heard stories." asked Shaggy.
"Only that few have ever gone through it from one side to the next and lived. There are many dangers in a desert,"
"But its sand. Sand can't hurt us... can it?" Silver interupted.
Sanga shrugged, "Sandstorms bury you, lack of food and water can kill you, sand-pits sink beneath your feet, ilusions appear before you..."
"Sanga, three little pairs of ears are listening to you and their little eyes are bulging." warned Mozart, speaking of FSS.

Gulp.;)
You know, I had a thought. If you get this published and have to change Frodo's name FSS won't be FSS anymore.:(:p
