Ah, but 'twas not stock, dearest. A friend of mine has some lovely pics on her Facebook, and I asked if I could use them in my work. As for the technique, I just fiddled around with some of those mask brushes I love so much. It was one big brush; all I did was add a second layer (white), slap the big brush down, set the opacity to...oh, I think it was "multiply"....and there you are!
I've always loved those "quietly," "silently" verses. Love the wallie (and the rest, of course!).
Thank you! I thought the verse fit the concept of the picture really well.

So. My eternity-old laptop recently gave up the ghost, leaving my entire creative suite (which translates into "program/stock/brushes/textures/fonts" or "everything I need to do graphics") buried on an inaccessible hard drive.
Yes, that was a good day.
However, I have begun recreating my "suite" (as I fondly call it) on another computer (that is newer, faster, and altogether more amazing) and should have some fresh artwork for you in no time at all!

I quite like this one. It's lovely! The colors are so soothing.
I agree! "Soothing" is a good way to describe them! I love the castle, and the font fits really well.
Of the avvies, my favorite is the purple one. I love the background swirlies.
