I didn't like the movie, at all compared to the book. if i would never have read the book than it would have been pretty good.
ARYA and Angela were very horribly cast!
 
I thought the movie was a really good adaption of a "far-from-greatness" book. I recommend it to all "Eragon", adventure or fantasy fans.

lol yes...that was the only upside to the movie. They did a pretty good job on Saphira as well. But the movie is self was terrible...no characterization nor background on the characters...what happened to crossing the Hadarac desert? They flew through the movie as if they didnt care about the impotant elements of the book. They skipped a ton of the book and didnt even bother to reveal more about Murtagh's history. Ary was never reveald that she was an elf and the Urgals attacked the Varden way to soon. I was not pleased with the movie at all.

Yeah you pretty much summed up everything. I was like :eek: when Hrothgar just LOOKED at Murtagh and was like, 'Dude you're Morzan's son!'
 
I think the person who portrayed their character the best(in the movie) was Durza, the others did well but he was outstanding and is great playing a shade.
And the worst would be the witch, Angela the girl playing her did a bad job in my opinion. I would rather they would have just not done the fortune telling scene at all then have her do it.

By the way, for those of you who have seen the movie, what did you guys think of Shruikin's breif appearance at the end?;)
One thing i dont get is why the twins werent in the film, they had an actor and everything and theres even a pic of one from the movie. Same with Katrina they casted a girl for the part, and there are pics of her from the movie too...but as far as i know they werent in the film at all!Even though for some strange reason...i dont know...

Well that absolutely sucks...they HAD the Twins and Katrina!!!

And I thought Robert Cayle was good at Durza but could have been a lot better. In my opinion Ed was the best, considering it's his 1st movie.
 
It was in fact his first movie your right, but as a young actor he's of course not as skilled as the veterans in the bunch who have experienced more movies. but yeah he did do pretty well.

Thats good. You'll find many differences when you compare the movie to the book:D
This is kinda early to discuss but i wonder what features will be on the dvd's and wheather there will be 2-disc editions:)
 
I have already seen alot I am not that Far in the book I am where he finds his farm burned and I am already seeing a lot of differnces when i play that scene in my head from the movie and the book Regardless they are both great fantasy works

Yeah...thats what made me angry...they didnt even state that Hrothgar was a dwarf either and what happened to Solembum? He was so cool and then the dragon hold and the crystal and...omg there is so much more! Snowfire was supposed to be white and Arya was supposed to have black hair. Errr im so angry
