  • It's so important to study history to learn from our past. I lvoe your analogy about looking over the painter's shoulder.

I've earned that, much as we want to know, God in his wisdom lets us know what we need to know and nothing more. So I'll pray you'll be able to trust and rest in that.
I will pray for you, dear heart, I will. Thank you for asking me! I do think it's possible that God may be giving America a wake up call. And I know that all things work for good for those who love the Lord (Rom. 8:28). I know God will bring good out of this presidency, and so I speak hope to you my dear TDL niece, and not fear. And whatever consequences we bear as a nation, GOd will give us the strength to bear them.
Well dear one, I have such mixed feelings. I do not support Obama's politics, in fact I feel very strongly about that. Yet I respect him as a person, and I am very excited about the historical event that will be taking place. It's a big triumph for America that we have overcome an abomination in our history (slavery), are making inroads against the evils of racism, and have elected an African-America to be the leader of the USA!
And I know that makes God smile, dear one, that you know Him and feel secure. What a blessing!

I hosted my study group at my home tonight, which I enjoy. We had a great discussion, also.
I didn't reply sooner because I ran to your fan-fic... *sobs* IT'S OVER!!! But it was good. :D

Me: *slowly puts shoe back on*
Alice: *still thinking* Or Diary of a Mad TDLer.
    Me: *takes shoe off again*
    Ben: Abby...
Me: What?? She's calling me crazy! Why won't you defend me?
Sam: Because he thinks you're crazy too.
Ben: But I love you anyway!
Me: Oh please... EVERYONE HATES ME! *runs away*
