  • Thanks. The secret to straight A's in trig is to have no life. ;)

That sounds amazing. How did you happen to get lessons from (I presume) an Englishman? I was born in England, but never had the opportunity to do much there--left when I was about nine months old. I'm told I was in a bunch of cathedrals. Stonehenge, too. Don't remember it myself.

Google is failing me. What, exactly, is Flos Della Torum? Also, which did you take?
I love the books also much more. The books are intense and take you with them on their journey. The movies however are brilliant made but people who are so book minded (like us) better not pay too much attention at the differences :D
I don't even recall which parts are EE in FOTR  I like TTT EE because it does more justice to Faramir's character. In the regular edition he was done much harm but the EE makes it up a bit. Yeah! The ROTK EE is soooooo great! Espcially when they entered Dimholt
I have all three EE's on my ipod. I like the EE's more. It is a bit longer but has so many great scenes. Last week when I watched it I enjoyed the whole movie so much!! I also thoguth about Aragorn what a very brave character he is. I'm certain he was able to resist the ring till the end.
WHOOW!!! I will keep an eye on him :D I have always watched the EE more than the theatrical version so I have no clue if the scene with the boatsman only happened in the EE. But it's in the EE for sure :D You should watch it ;)
Colds can be nasty things. Glad you're getting over yours!

Aside from being bored--well, I'm in perfect health, and I have a computer with an internet connection. And lots of books. And time to do some writing, except my brain's in no condition to write. And NF to distract me from thinking--so I guess I'm doing fine. At least I'm surviving.

And  I've just checked on my grades and they're finally up!--and I got straight A's :D (Well, one A minus.) That's cheering. Specially in trig.

I see that you enjoy sword fighting. Have you taken lessons? What's it like?
NO??? He is on the black ship. Aragorn sees them coming and then he say: You can go no further. He warned Legolas to shoot an arrow at the Boatsman just to scare them off but Gimli hits Legolas and then Legolas kills the boatsman. This is Peter Jackson :D But do you know who he plays in TTT?
Yes and at the theater people are usually too focused on the movie itself. You don't want to miss anything. You want to see all and then you miss some details and with the dvd you are more relaxed. No hurries and you can watch the movie over and over again. At FOTR I noticed the pieces of the statue lying on the floor when Frodo met Boromir. It's interesting to see the details coming back :D
I saw him at the funeral but didn't noticed the makeup was gone. A friend of mine asked me what I thought of the scene showing Heath without the makeup and then I realized it was the funeral scene. It is funny to notice how things can slip your mind
And I have seen FOTR a couple of times but never noticed Sam making a poem for Gandalf. He did this at Lothlorien and even though he thought it wasn't good I liked it :D And I even listened closely to Haldir and thought about his background.
How are you? I'm so unutterably bored, now that my first semester of college is over, that I'm reduced to starting conversations (nearly) out of the blue. ;)
The Joker is indeed Satan. It's as clear as that. I didn't see him any different. That's why he didn't care about money or whatever. He even burned the money. It was a game he liked to play. A game in which he tried to take as many souls as possible. In almost every good story the real bad person represents satan and the good one Jesus. Batman didn't want to be a hero admired by everybody. He helped when he was needed and he went away unnoticed. The people at Gottham needs him. Even if Harvey Dent would have survived and not being burned the town would have needed Batman. Because he was the only person who could match the Joker.
That's right. The death of one creats the birth of another. If the joker would get killed another one would step forward and might become even more dangerous. And those creeps looking like a bad dressed clown are the ones who won't get much attention. Those guys at the beginning failed miserable. They all thought they were dealing with a
freak. Yes he was a freak but not the one you would like to meet.
Everybody underetimated the Joker. Because if you see him you might think he is just a crazy person who needs to be locked up. But if you see what he did to this prisoner (using the phone and KABOOM) you will realize he is very sick and evil. Someone like him would never stop until he is going to be stopped.
Exactly! And he always says: Why so serious? Let's put a smile on that face! So maybe this part could be true. This movie makes you think about people like the Joker. So evil and twisted it's almost unreal. And he made whole Gottham fear him.

And when Batman appears on his Bike: Now..that's a real Batman!
YES! In the beginning I was looking like " owww that's Heath" but when the movie continued I started to see him as a very evil and twisted mind who didn't care about anything at all. He lives on Chaos and he loves creating chaos. Like said in the beginning: Some people only care about the destruction itself (something like that but you know what I mean)
But what was the real truth about the Joker's past?
Yes, I saw him! It was funny to see him without the makeup. And a bit creepy too.
Yes that's what I ment. The confrontation part was a bit weird but I think Dent was more angry about both reasons. Of course Rachel being killed and he often confronted Gordon he worked with dirty cops.
The movie has a lot to think about. That's why it is so unique
