Now that we've completed the conversation between Leslie and Tanya, you might wish to ask MJ how _much_ time she wants to skip when she skips ahead.
And now Tanya has opened fire with her verbal machinegun.
In case you're "here, not there," Tanya is calling Leslie.
Meanwhile, I'm still writing new sonnets.
Since you know what bands you like, how about you also invent the opening act: the kind of band which your favorite group would choose from among local-area musicians to be first onstage at their concert. I would figure them to have played at Notes Never Clash more than once before the time Leslie sees them, so that there's been time for them to become friendly with Tanya.
And Tanya could get permission to be off on a weekend, because she only serves as MANAGER on weekday nights.
We could imagine that a lesser band plays at Notes Never Clash, and they tell us that they WILL be opening soon for a concert by the more famous group. They appreciate Tanya's helpfulness to them, so they arrange for the comp tickets.
What would you think of saying that Tanya's music-circuit connections result in her being able to get free tickets for herself and Leslie to an _imaginary_ concert by some _actual_ singing group? It could be one that YOU like.
Tanya is growing wiser with time, but this may not become apparent in a visit by Leslie, because of Tanya's deeply-ingrained belief in Leslie's vast superiority. That is, Tanya probably will be as deferential to Leslie as ever, and thus not SEEM changed. Though of course, there is her employment, a tangible improvement.

Yes, I mean my visit to Hannah, and to her mother who is exactly my age and single. Hannah was our chaperone!
