No, on that point I must call on my own experience as a Dad. Once knowing that Clair WILL be with them, Brad would NOT fail to give Illeah SOME chance to prepare her mind before Clair is right there in the flesh.
The problem with directly on the doorstep is that Montana is a HUGE state, with very few cities of any size. The Willson ranch is not likely to be within taxicab range of the airport Clair's jet would land at. So I figured that logically there needs to be a transition from airport to doorstep.
Clair may have more than a hundred miles to cover to get from her jet to her father. I've already been thinking about this, and I had an idea: Brad could have a friend who owns a helicopter and could fly him out to pick you up.
Okay, if you have your ideas formed, there should be no reason why you can't have your plane land in Butte, Montana right now, then phone your Dad's ranch to announce yourself.
Such as how you imagine my character should feel when seeing you, and how he feels about his now-dead ex-wife. I like to believe that Brad Willson did nothing to deserve to have his wife leave him, that SHE simply was selfish and spoiled and unfaithful; but do you want Clair to see her deceased Mom as not having been so bad?
he's on teh guys you think is awesome when you're a freshman
but as his actual student
he just gets on your nerves
like he tries to act cool
and does not pull it of well ya know?
lol
