A New Challenge

Loretta shook her head and headed off. She didn't say anything and just left the campsite.

"Ooooooooh, I sure do hope them goblins are still asleep..." Mary Sue muttered.

Edmund sighed, looking to Peter after hearing Mary sue's words, "....you do think she'll be alright..right?" there was a slight concern in his voie as he watched her walk off into the woods..

"She'll be fine if she keeps her senses acute..." Mary Sue nodded, "but them goblins can be awfully sneaky...they snuck up on me once, and I have them smartest senses." Mary Sue continued. "Maybe they'll show mercy if them there goblins happen to catch 'em, or if they haven't had them there tea, they'll save her for dessert...or if them expecially hungry, they'll eater right there." Mary Sue didn't seem the least bit worried.

Edmund's eyes widen when he listend to her words..his heart filling with worry for Loretta, "we've got to go after her before she gets eaten!! or they'll eat her and then there will be no Loretta!! NO LORETTA DO YOU HEAR ME!!!" he shout, shaking his brothers shoulders.

"If anyone attacks Loretta in this mood, they'll be lucky to have their eye rolling on the ground in one peice. But if you really really want to risk getting eaten by goblins and yelled at by Loretta...go ahead." Peter responded.

"Don't you worry, the worst that'll happen is you'll hear her scream once." Mary Sue comforted, but her plan was working.
"You mean--COME ON LETS GO FIND HER!" Peter exclaimed. "COming Lu and Su?"

"COME ON!!!" Edmund exclaimed growing inpatient.
Lucy and Susan quiackly rushed after there brothers, "no way are we going to miss out on an adventure and let only you boys come!!" Susan smirked up at her older brother.
Grace sighed, she wondered if they would have her go with them or stay there at the camp with Mary sue.

Peter grabbed his sword and issued Lucy and Susan to hurry along. "I knew that there plan wuld work. Them goblins ain't eat flies..." she laughed heartily. "That there is one way to get a group workin' together...tea?" she asked politely.

Lucy and Susan caught up with there brothers, "come on everyone before we all get eaten!!" Edmund exclaimed, increaseing his speed.

Grace looked up at Mary sue, chuckling at her plan, "why I've never actually tried Tea..." she smiled, "but I would love to try some"

There in the forest, some goblins had a feast set out, and Loretta was chosen as the wandering guest of honor. They set her at the head of a finely decorated table with food galore.

"Yes lets!" he drew his sword. "Su, get your bow ready, Lu, be ready to heal Loretta...I just hope we aren't too late!"

Mary Sue giggled. "They'll be thrilled by me prank.." she said sarucastically. "Ed ain't that there only prankster."

Susan nodded, follwing her brothers instructions she readied her bow and arrows and Lucy kept her healing cordinal close at hand while Ed drew his sword, helping Peter lead the way though as they walked on they were shocked to hear some sort of celebration not to far away...


"I soppose not" Grace giggled along with her taking a few licks of the tea set out before her, "I would like to see there faces the moment they find out....to bad they thereselves don't have a way of seeing there faces"

There was folk music and goblins were dancing as others ate. Loretta's mood had lightened and she was feeling much better. Thanking the goblins for their hospitality she tried to leave, but they told her the party was for her so she HAD to stay. She and this other girl goblin were talking about wars and fights and how guys are so immature.

"Ooooooooooooh, I can't wait to see them looks on them there faces!" Mary Sue laughed.

Edmund gasped, bushing back a few bushes he saw Loretta seated at the table surrounded with goblins, though from where he was he couldn;t see that she was really having a good time so automaticly he assumed she must have been in some sort of trouble, "there luering her in just so they can eat her! why those little moneters.." he muttered under his breath looking back to the others he explained what he thought the goblins were doing, "on three I want us all to charge down into battle..we'll take them by surpize so we'll have more of a chances at rescueing her..ready? one...two...THREE!!" with that he charged out of the bushes with his sword drawn out in front of him todally oblviosue to what was really going on, "FOR NARNIA AND FOR ASLAN!! release the sqiurrel or no onw lives to see tomorrow!!!!"

Everyone went silent, staring at him and the others. They looked to each other in confusion, what were the freaks talking about. They looked around and looked at them. "Ed...what are you doing?" Loretta asked. "See this is what I mean by immature..." she whispered to the goblin next to her. "What are you doing...this is a party!" she sighed. Then all the goblins started laughing, they thought that Ed was joking, since Loretta was the goblin of honor. The host stood up. "Let us invite the freeeeeeeeeaks to join us!" everyone cheered and went back to partying. "What is wrong with you!" Loretta asked all of them.

"Should I hide?" Mary Sue asked.

Edmund cheeks turned beat red, "but..I thought..." he lowered his sword, looking to Loretta not it was plain for all of them to see that Loretta was in no danger instead she seemed to be having the time of her life...for this was a mere party..."hey wait a minute were not freaks!" he retoretded to the goblins but Susan shot him a glare causeing him to emmiditely put away his sword, "what do you mean what are we doing? we were told that the goblins were going to eat you..." she looked at Loretta, confusiton wrotten on her face.
"unless..this was all just a prank.." Edmund muttered, angerly kicking a small rock.



Grace giggled, "you may want to when they get back....Ed gets pretty deadly with his taost throwing.." :p

"Since when did goblins eat squirrels?" she looked at ed with question. "I really must be going, thank you so much!" she waved to the goblins and the goblins waved back. She smiled. "who got TOLD now..." she taunted.

"hey it wasn't MY fault!" Edmund defended, cathing up with her, "Mary sue was the one who told us about the goblins and Peter made us go looking for you.."

Edmund was about to retort when he heard Loretta scolding him and Peter for argueing in the first place for he could tell by now that she was way beyond the point of annoyence, "sorry.." he muttered, looking away as to prevent himself from shooting Peter an angry glare for he new if he did it would only create more of a reason for Loretta to scold them...

And then Loretta started lecturing. "To think you all thought I couldn't take care of myself! I am perfectly capable of doing that, then bursting into a perfecty good party telling them to free the guest of honor...and pointing your swords at them. Did you know how embarrassed I was? Very...more than when I was scolded by my younger sister infront of ALL the squirrels." she shook her head. "All I wanted was to relax and calm down."

Edmund looked away, he new even thoughhe tried denying it that this whole thing had been all his fault...he sighed turning to Loretta though keeping his gaze glued to the ground, "Loretta...look I'm sorry okay...Mary sue told us to come after you becuase if we didn't find you in time the goblins would do terrible things to you and obvousely none of us new anything about goblins so we belived her....I'm sorry its just when I heard that you were in danger I wouldn't just sit there and do nothing, pretending I didn't care! so if you want to blame anyone blame me...this wasn't Peters Idea, or Lu or Su's or any of them! it was mine..." he admitted, still unable to meet her gaze.

Susan glanced at Peter before looking to Loretta she too felt incredibly foolish for the incident they had caused, "we all are Loretta...I guess we shouldn't have jumped to clenutions but like Ed said we were just worried about you..." she said softly before Lucy qiuetly cut in, "but still we should have trusted you...we truly are sorry Loretta..will you except our forgiveness?" tears heated the young childs eyes as she looked into the eyes of the sqiurrel, Loretta new just by her faciel expression that she as well as the others had meant evert word they they said.
