A New Challenge

Susan glanced at Peter before looking to Loretta she too felt incredibly foolish for the incident they had caused, "we all are Loretta...I guess we shouldn't have jumped to clenutions but like Ed said we were just worried about you..." she said softly before Lucy qiuetly cut in, "but still we should have trusted you...we truly are sorry Loretta..will you except our forgiveness?" tears heated the young childs eyes as she looked into the eyes of the sqiurrel, Loretta new just by her faciel expression that she as well as the others had meant evert word they they said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get on your cases, you all came after because you cared, but I'm still moratlly embarassed." she nodded. She looked to Ed. "Edmund, look at me..." she waited for his eyes to meet hers. "I'd have done the same thing."

Edmund hesitaed for a moment before meeting her gaze, "So..your not mad at us?" he asked, lifting his head only slightly.

Susan sighed, giving her older brother a slight glare, "you know vary well we can't do anything of the sort Peter Pevensie...but we can get her back by repaying her with a prank of our own.." she grinned.
Lucy giggled, "that sounds like a lovely idea"
"after what she did to us killing her sounds like an even better one!" Edmund exclaimed.


....meanwhile....

Grace gently groomed Mary sues soft fur with her toung for she had taken qiut a likeness to the mouse, since her own family were no longer alive she had no real family of her own to take care of her though she was greatful for Loretta and the others for taking her in...
"Hey Mary Sue....? can I ask you something?" she asked after a moments hesitation of staring at the ground, "...have you ever had a family?"

"First, she probably had a REASON to tell you that stupid story...lets find that out first...then kill her!" she smiled. Peter put his hand on his sword just to get under Susan's skin. "I say we cut off her skin and make Su a Mary Sue Designer Fashion..."

"No, my darlin. My family kicked me out early on and I be roamin' alone ever since...stoppin here stoppin there...its me life." she smiled and brushed Grace's chin. "Why you ask darlin?"

"sounds good to me" Edmund grinned he looked to Peter, "and then we can make her whare it every winter becuase we'll take all her other coats away"
Susan glared at both of her brothers knowing they were only trying to annoy her, "haha vary funny...if you two insane barbarians did that I would skin you both and make YOU into coats!!"



Grace lowered her head slightly, tears threantening to fall from her eyes though she held them back, "becuase...my family died when I was vary young...I was just wondering what it would be like to have one...I've bene on my own ever since...I'm so sorry your family kicked you out..its not easy trying to survive on your own" she looked away unable to hold back a few tears from rolling down her cheeks.

Susan raised an eyebrw, "oh Really Ed?"

Grace tried to smile, letting Mary sue's words sink deep into her heart, she nuzzled her gently, "yeah..I guess your right...atleast we have eachother now...and the others...in fact if it wasn't for Loretta I would have never met any of you..."

"hey!" Edmund retorted with a sight glare, "whats that sopposed to mean I though atleast YOU would be on my side!!"
"Face it Ed no one wants to be on a losers side" Lucy smirked.
"Alright thats it...someday I'll get you all back with a prank worse then any I've pulled so far..." Edmund tried to makie his voice sound evil though failed miserbly.


"And by the looks of it we better find a good hiding place also..." Grace looking up catching a glimpse of the group among the bushes.

"This one will be something you would never except trust me.." Edmund glared following his sibleings and Loretta into camp, "MARY SUE! YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE FOR TELLING US WHAT YOU DID ABOUT THE OGERS!!" he shouted, mrching right up to her with an angry glare apun his face.
Grace looked up quickly hearing the angry shouts she hid herself behind the little mouse the best she could...

"Oh, darlin' of course I did! And they were goblin's darlin', goblins, not ogres. See ya'll were off arguin' so I told ya that Lori there was in trouble and ya'll pulled together and made up without even knowin' it..." she smiled.

Edmund growled under his breath, "I swear one day your all going to pay..."

"yeah right Ed.." Susan rolled her eyes excepting Mary Sue's offer of cake, turning quickly she acted as if she were going to smash it right into Ed's face though turned quickly smashing it all over Peters head instead, "Sorry Peter its just been so long since I did something like that to you and I couldn't resist the temptation.." she laughed.

Edmund quickly grabbed a glass of punch, poring it all over Lorettas fur, "thats only HALF of how I'm going to get you back.." he turned and fled into his tent in an atmept of escape.

"You'll have to catch me first!" Susan smeered the cake onto her older brothers cheeks before turning and running off...
