A New Challenge

Edmund gulped in fear when she grabbed his throat. he almost began trembleing just listeing to her words. "How do you excspect me to just remian calm when that Witch is standing right outside our home!! and she wants all of our lives!!!! if theirs anything in Cair Paravel she wants its ME!!! or you! or us!!!! or worse!! ALL OF US!! I don't believe that stupid hags words for one minute!! no one second! shes most likely just lieing to us so we will let her in the castle!!"
"Ed!!!" Susan scolwed, she new her brother had always freaked out about things, but this was the worst hes ever been..
"Look! Lorettas right! we'll just have to figure this out somehow!! I mean you didn't freak out this badly when you saw her at Aslan's camp....."
Edmund glared at his sister, his eyes watering only slightly. "That was diffrent....Aslan was there then and I new he wouldn't let her harm me.....and I was scared out of my mind even then...but now, now shes outside the castle, our, home, trying to get us to let her in so she can proably trick us into killing her...and this time Aslan isn't here! well not phisically anyways..."

Loretta slapped him. "YOU PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER RIGHT NOW OR I'LL INVITE HER INSIDE!" she shouted. She hated when he got all hypervenilated. She could have killed him at that moment.

"Um...Ed, I think Loretta is serious..." Peter said, he saw it in her eyes, she was angry.

Edmund saw the anger in Lorettas eyes, his face throbbed red with pain, tears were almost heating his eyes but he swallowed them back. He took a few steps back from Loretta to hide behind Peter. "I'll just be over here....hideing....." he shuddered he new she was seriouse this time.
 
"Loretta just CALM DOWN!" Peter said gently fearing her also.

"We have a witch to fight and all he can do is scream to let her know we're inside....we need to think...AND FAST!" she exclaimed.

"What are we sopposed to do?" Susan asked, fear lit up her eyes, her worst nightmare had come to past...Jadis was still alive.

Edmund felt as if he were about to die, he had never feared anyone more then the witch, nevertheless he formed himsel to keep his mouth shut in fear of Loretta.

"But who almost killed her?" Loretta asked, smirking. "I did..." she was cut off as another guard came in pale faced. "She's gone...she just dissappeared..." he whispered.

Edmunds face grew completely pale. "GONE!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE!?!?!? then that means...that she could just dissapear herself anywhere...omgish she could be in the castle right this moment and NOBODY WOULD KNOW!!" he only calmed down when Susan grabbed his arm stopping him from running away in a panic.

Susan whipped around to face her. "You want them to search WHERE!?" (lol) but before anyone could respond everyone was already dashing off to search the castle, Ed, Lu and Grace went with Peter, afraid of running into the witch.

"She could be hiding ANYWHERE!" Loretta reminded Susan struggling to keep from laughing.

"Yeah ANYWHERE thats includeing Ed's secret toast stash!!" Susan replied, dashing down the hall.
"Hey!! I heard that!!" she could hear her brothers voice ring throughout the castle.

Loretta went up to the top and surveyed the area, pushing her way through the toast.... :p
 
"No sign, but she's bound to be here somewhere..." she looked out. She squinted a little..."Over there....its a........FIRE!" she saw a blue fire ripping through the trees as terrible shrieks of dryads whipped through their ears. "SHE'LL BURN CAIR!" Loretta exclaimed.

Edmunds face lit up with fear whenhe heard Loretta shout that there was a fire, he looked out his eyes widening in fear when he seen she was right, there was a fire and it was moving towards the castle fast. There were sounds of terrible screams and yelped along with the shreaiking sound of dryads all through the woods. "WE'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING!!"

She turned to Edmund. "Ed, alert the others, you and Peter will go and get the fire saftey equipment, I'll go out and try to find other creatures to help us stop the fire, tell Lucy and Susan to go to the fire saftey zone inside the castle. We have to move quickly!" Loretta ordered. She didn't bother with the stairs. She climbed down the side and dashed out of the gates giving a 'help us' call that echoed through the woods.
