A NEW Life in New York CITY!

"Sprite, and that special you mentioned.." She replied.."Thanks.." She handed her the menu.

"Quite welcome. We'll have it up in a second." And she marched off toward teh kitchen to put in the order.

Keira walked excitedly into the bar and smiled as she heard the music, then sat down at a stool.

Morgan went past Keira. "The band's not here till 8 darling, can I get you anything?" she asked.

"Its not too bad" he said leaning against the coke machine behind him. "It just takes a while to adjust to" he replied crossed his arms. "Someday I'm going to get a big break" he added looking around the bar. 'Hopefully' he thought.

Beth smiled, "I think that's what we all want," she looked at her watch and stood up and grabbed her coat, "thanks for the sprite," she turned then stop and looke back at him over her shoulder, "I'm sure you'll get your big break." She smiled and walked out. Beth pulled her hood up, and went back to the rearsturan and got back to work.

Keira stared at her fingernails and let her mind drift off to her latest novel... Starting to Die. She wondered if she would finish this one, perhaps get it published...

"Thanks" he said smiling politely as she left. "Oh by the way theres a band playing tonight. You should come and check them out. Apparently they're good" he quikly said before she left. He looked around the bar and noticed it was mostly populated by women. 'The band' he thought to himself sighing. He glanced at Morgan. Even though she had only just started she seemed to have adapted to the bar very well. He leaned on the bar top and looked at his watch. 'Just another 4 hours to go' he thought.

Morgan served up the coke and the sprite along with that one girl's meal. She returned to the bar, sitting on a stool. "Oh please, you have that 'I can't wait to get off work' look. If you hate working here so much then why do you work here?" she asked. She never beat around the bush when she talked just went straight to the point.

As Beth worked she thought about going to hear the band. Maybe I'll go, she thought. After I close, she looked at the clock, 4 hours, she sighed and kept working.

He laughed slightly. "I dont really have a choice. Its the only job that I could get that was fairly close to my flat. Besides you get free drinks and food" he added.

"Thanks.." She told Morgan as she gave her meal and sprite...She grabbed her fork slowly and then stared at her hand stupidly..."Rolls, you, little.." She told herself and dropped it. She sighed and bit the first roll..."ummm.." She smiled as she mounched...Delicious...

He laughed slightly. "I dont really have a choice. Its the only job that I could get that was fairly close to my flat. Besides you get free drinks and food" he added.

"Of course you have a choice! But of course, this is the better choice. I mean, it's really not so bad here, better than the other joints I've worked in..." she pulled out a cigerette and lit it. "Want one?" she asked and then continued. "I mean, it's right here in NYC and you never know who the customers are who walk through the door, and you never know if you'll see 'em again, but, seriously, it's amazing! We could be serving the next most famous people when times are hard. You just got's to know your customers and care for them, like they're your kids. Ya know what I mean?"

Brielle was off work, because they weren't much customers to handle.
She grabbed her bag and went to the bar. She looked inside, and saw a few people there. Sitting down, waiting for the waitress to come over.

ooc:Haha I just noticed that everyone is this rp is essembling in the bar :p

ic: He shook his head "no thanks. I dont smoke. Nasty habbit" he replied watching her take a drag. "But you only just started" he added. "Wait until you've been here for a couple of months and lets see what you say then. I came to NYC looking for something more".

ooc. haha! yep. everyone except Beth, she's working:rolleyes::p

ic. Beth walked back into the kitchen and put the dirty dishes in the sink.
"Beth! hurry up, people need there food!" Her boss yelled to her. Beth sighed, there has got to be something better than this, she thought. Beth got the food and took it out to the people. She still had three hours to work.

"Everyone goes everywhere expecting 'something more', I've learned to be happy with whatever comes my way. When you don't have a lot, you get that way..." she took another drag of her cigerette. "You know, most smokers smoke because of emotional problems..." she added, as if that was vital information.

"I'm sure they do but what emotional problems would you have?" he asked. "Smoking will cause great damage to your body, but you already knew that but yet you still do it." he added.
"If you never set high goals for yourself in life you won't get anywhere. You'll wake up everyday expecting the same thing not looking out for anything new and you'll live a long and boring life." he added.

"Oh, I don't have any. I picked it up from my mom..." she smiled brightly. "I'll take what comes to me. My aunt gave me the gum to help me stop smoking..." She shrugged. "Sometimes, it's nice to have a smoke..."
"If you expect less, there is more room for suprises, and then you don't get dissappointed, but that doesn't mean don't strive for your dreams, it just means, be happy for what you have, cuz when it gets torn away from your life, you will be greatful to have had it for that small while..." she smiled as she said this and took another drag, then smashing it into an ashtray.

"Well it seems to be helping" he replied slightly sarcastically but in a friendly way. "You're probably right but I'm hoping one day some major producer will walk through those doors" he began staring at the doors in amazement as if they were made out of gold. "And when they do I'll be ready" he said assuringly. "But for now I'll just take orders and pretend to be happy." he gazed away from the door and back at her shrugging.
"What can I do for you?" he asked as he moved to the side to stand infront of a man who had just enetered.

Beth was washing off a table, the last costomer, for now, had just left. Everyoneelse was in the kitchen talking. She looked out the window, it was sunny, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Yet Beth felt like she was stuck uder one big cloud. And she wanted out from under it, she hated working here. She was grateful for the job, she needed the money, but she would rather be acting, or singing. She sighed and finished finished washing the table. She dropped the rag into the sink as her favoret song came on. She smiled and sang quietly as she cleaned up behind the counter.
