A NEW Life in New York CITY!

"Well it seems to be helping" he replied slightly sarcastically but in a friendly way. "You're probably right but I'm hoping one day some major producer will walk through those doors" he began staring at the doors in amazement as if they were made out of gold. "And when they do I'll be ready" he said assuringly. "But for now I'll just take orders and pretend to be happy." he gazed away from the door and back at her shrugging.
"What can I do for you?" he asked as he moved to the side to stand infront of a man who had just enetered.

"Life in the restraunt buissness isn't about you..." she called to him. "It's about the customers!" and then she leapt up to take care of their guests.

'Yeah yeah' he thought to himself as he took the mans order.
"That'll be $2.50 please?"
The man scratched his head anxiously. "Errr can you just put it on my bill?" he asked
"No sorry sir cash upfront only."
"Oh come on! its just one drink!" he was beginning to get a little agressive.
"Please calm down" Tristan began putting the glass of scotch to one side. "I can't give you this for free. Its our policy"
The man watched the scotch and made a grab for it but Tristan quickly pulled it away. "Look if you're not going to buy anything please leave".
He gave Tristan a grimacing look and stood up angrily from his stool. "Lousy bar!" he shouted. Tristan could smell the liqour in his breath even though he was behind the bar. He stumbled to the door and eventually pushed it open and walked out.
Tristand glanced at the scotch and for a slight second was tempted to drink it. He quickly picked it up and threw it down the sink/drain bit behind the bar.

"Um excuse me.." Ashe called at him again..."Could I have an...um..." she began as she couldnt decide what to have, she glanced at all the drinks and she finally looked a bit puzzled.."What do you suggest I should have?.." she finally gave up.

Morgan watched the man leave, but was still gripping the counter hard, digging her fingernails into the countertop. She took a slow deep breath to calm herself. The man was gone, he couldn't hurt her... she told herself, but she watched the door for another minute before continuing her work.

"Um excuse me.." Ashe called at him again..."Could I have an...um..." she began as she couldnt decide what to have, she glanced at all the drinks and she finally looked a bit puzzled.."What do you suggest I should have?.." she finally gave up.

"I'd go for a Shirley Temple...nice, light drink, of course, without alcohol..." Morgan smiled.

"Yep its all about the customers" he mumbled to himself placing the glass down.
"Have you decided on what to have yet?" he asked her as she looked at the menu.

She look at him with a weak smile on her face.
" Yea kinda of can I have something wram to drink like hot cococ please?," She ask now looking at her watch.

'of course' he thought laughing. "Cold beer coming right up" he said as he poured her a glass. "Its not quite as nice as a hot coco but it hits the spot" he replied smiling handing her the beer.

Beth sat down as her boss walked out of the kitchen.
"Beth, Kim is going to close tonight," she said. "So you can go when ever you want."
Beth smiled, "really! Ok, I'll be gone in a minute." Beth ran to the bathroom and changed, then grabbed her coat. She looked at the clock. she had been at work for 6 hours. She sighed and went outside. She was thinking about going back to the bar to hear the band, but she didn't know what time it was at. She walked tords the bar to see what time it was at, but saw a cafe, nd went in to get a hot chocolate.

Morgan was running around taking orders and yelling at the bar-guy to get some drinks up. She sighed, rush hour always made her uneasy and frusterated.

ooc: nothing really. I'm serving drinks very slowly apprently :p and Morgan is doing like all the work.

Tristan smiled and glanced over at Morgan. 'She takes this job way too seriously' he thought walking up to her. "Morgan you look a little worked off your feet and thats not very good on your first day. How about you sit down for a while and I'll take over." he said pushing her slightly towards one of the chairs and taking hr orders from her.

Morgan glanced at Tristan, shooting him an angry glare. Then she smiled. "Thank you, but I'd rather work, sitting and doing nothing is the worst thing I could do!" she exclaimed, not going into detail about the last time she had a break. She smiled and took another order book and started at other tables. She smiled victoriously. "We'll do this together, if you insist on working."

He shrugged. "I'm fine with that" he replied walkling towards the bar once again but this time he didn't go behind it but infront of the bar. He had had problems before with shooting pains up his arms and they were coming back. He sat down slowly on the stool and placed his right arms around his left. The doctor had told him to support his arm when this happened and to take his pills. He reached into his back pocket where he thought he had left them but they weren't there. He winced slightly in pain and looked around the tables and peered behind the bar just in case he had accidently left them there but he couldnt find them.

Beth finished her hot chocolate and walked back over to the bar. She stopped out side, and stood for a moment. I'm going to hang out at a bar. She thought, Beth shook her head and walked in, she didn't have anything else to do, and she didn't feel like sitting in her apartment.
