A promising rumor

Actually I hope Fox does do VDT. Fox has a history of doing Biblical Epics. I was just watching The Robe last night.

I just want VotDT made, I don't care if Walden takes it all on their own. I definitely agree that the only harm that Disney has done was the marketing fiasco. It was Adamson, McFeely, and the other person whose name escapes me right now who screwed up the storyline of PC. We already have that problem (hopefully) fixed by having a new director and screen writer. I am hopeful that the Christian themes will come shiny through because Amazing Grace was so awesome, not because of anything with Disney.

oh, there's a new writer? I didn't know if that was final or not. HOpefully it's whoever wrote the screenplay for Amazing Grace. :D

They updated their page. The wikipeida page has been redone, and the Disney thing is no longer there. Besides, Disney would never go back on their word.

If I remember correctly, the news broke that Stephen Knight was going to write Dawn Treader shortly after the uproar about the leaked early draft of Dawn Treader's script (which was written completely by the two who did LWW and PC). It also said that the other two would probably help. but that Stephen Knight (who wrote Amazing Grace's script) would be the principle writer. It was just not given much press because it got caught in the other Narnia news at the time.

Anyhow, there is another thing on Narniaweb that is simply even more encouraging than the rumor that Disney was taking Narnia back. It is from a more reliable source (a LA Times blog)
Here is a link.
I have great hope that this one is actually true and that we will indeed hear that it is by the end of this week.

Stephen Knight was brought on to help write the script with Marcus and McFeely. Andrew is not working on the script this time around at all.

They confirmed that the bit on the Wikipedia site was not real. Disney is not picking it up again. Hopefully some other studio will that actually wants to market the film rather than push fans away.

Edit: Since Walden and Fos are now paired, this thread needs no further speculation or commentary, thus ilock.
