A Royally Mixed Future

"Peter, I..." she began to pace, back and forth on the carpet as she tried to get her words right. "I'm really sorry about my freaking out earlier. Just the whole getting everything ready with the wedding coming around the corner, things at work have been kind-of crazy, and now-" she stopped pacing and turned to face him. "I find out my husband is-" she looked down.

Ooc: Enter drama with Caspian...

Caspian was at a rather large desk in his study, reading some papers that both Telmarines and Narnians alike had sent him. He put them down, and rubbed his eyes. There had been a lot to handle that day, and reports were one of the things that he had never liked doing anyway. So, in order to give his mind a break, he decided to go for a walk. He left his office and then headed out to the palace gardens.

OCC: YAY DRAMA LOL.

Susan walked through the castle; she saw one of the maids. "Excuse me miss, could you please tell me where King Caspian is?"
"Yes your majesty he is just outside in the gardens." The maid said with a curtsey.
Susan smiled "Thank you miss."
Susan walked out of the large doors and went outside to find Caspian.

"I find out my husband is-" she looked down.

"King?" He finished. He shrugged, "I know its hard but if its any consulation, if I ever had a maddning fever I probably would have told you," he smiled wryly.

"So you would have had to been close to dying or halucinating before you would have told me?" she asked him, taking a seat next to him on the sofa. "I think I can understand..." she said softly as she looked around the room. "But I guess I'm still upset that you didn't feel like you could trust me with it," she added, placing her hands in her lap.

Caspian strolled among the rows of plants and flowers, pausing occasionally to stroke a leaf or smell a flower. His mind was whirling with both the impending troubles and the rumors of them, and the fact that the Kings and Queens of Old were back, especially Susan. He sighed and paused, looking out over the expanse of the garden.

"UGH!" Peter raised his arms, "I told you it had nothing to do with trust! It was just a sibling secret. If I had known they'd be ok with it, Lu especially, then I would have told you. But knowing Lu she wouldn't have wanted the rest of the world to know and to judge."

Clarissa crossed her arms. "I am only telling you what I feel- it felt like it was a trust issue. It may not have been, but it feels like it," she said, trying to restrain her temper. "Did you even consider asking the others if you could tell me? I mean, we were about to be be married," she shot back, before she could bite back her words. "You know, for better or for worse, sickness and in health?"

"Well I know Lu would have felt betrayed if I did," he said quietly, "plus I wouldn't wanted our marriage to turn to the worse, and that's what would have happened. And you know it. So just drop this ok? I'm sick of talking about it."

(ooc I have just concluded, I play guys better than I play girls:confused:lol)

Ooc: Well, you're definitely good at it- but you've been pretty good at Lucy too!!

"Betrayed if you asked first?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow. "No, I don't know that it would. I don't know how I would have reacted, and perhaps- knowing my love of fantasy- I would have accepted it and loved the fact even more! So far, this place is absolutely brilliant! Except for the rift that is forming between us," she shot at him. "Drop it? You're the one that attacked it, not I," she said, standing up. "I came in, with an apology, and telling you how I felt, and you exploded," she continued. "When you are ready to talk- without either of us yelling- I will be in my room," she said, and quickly walked out before Peter could see the tears forming in her eyes. This was wrong, all wrong. How could such a wonderful place have put such a difficult hurdle before them?

(ooc lol guys come more naturally...poo I need more gal pals.)

Peter ran after and grabbed her arm, twisting her around, "Hey it's not like I wanted you to feel like a bloody mope, but why can't you just accept that I could never tell you about this? I'll let you keep your secrets. Embarressing stories, past mistakes, why couldn't I have kept this? But its out in the open, its whirling around you. You're one step further in knowing me than I am about you. And do you know the real reason I didn't want to tell you? Cause I know you'd leave me! Ok fine that's out. Yes I am insecure," he flailed his arms, "stable Peter isn't so stable. I'd leave me if I heard that. Any sane person would have. And your love for fantasy would be shattered if you knew it was a reality."

Ooc: I'll be one of your gal pals! We can paint our nails, and have sleep overs... totally just kidding! I'm more a bonding over horseback riding type!

Clarissa was tempted to grab her arm out of his hand, but waited to hear what he had to say. "I never said that I didn't accept it, I just wanted you to know how I felt about it! I wanted to be open and honest with you," she told him, her temper still on the rise. Then, he mentioned her leaving him, and it cooled instantly. She put her hand on his cheek and forced him to look at her. "You don't know that- even I don't know that. But Peter..." she trailed off, looking for the right words. "If I had thought you were sane, I wouldn't have agreed to marry you," she joked with him, hoping to get him to smile. "But, seriously, maybe that's one of the reasons we seemed to click so well. You were the king of a magical kingdom, the knight in shining armor that I was looking for," she said. "And besides, one only likes fantasy if they hope or imagine that it is a reality," she told him, stroking his cheek gently and then running her fingers through his hair. "Why don't you and I go for a walk... it seems like we have a lot to discuss..."

(ooc you're my kinda girl :) wait...lol not like that :o oy. lol)

Peter smiled, knowing that his crooked smile was her favorite (and mine). "I'm no knight in shining armor, " he looked to the left as they walked down the halls, seeing his old armor, "ok shining armor, but only literally. I was never a real hero. Just...determined to help when ever I could. Caspian is better at it than I ever was." He took her hand, "besides I didn't rescue you, you rescued me."

Ooc: Hahaa!! I know what you mean, don't worry!!

Clarissa smiled up at him, glad to see at least a flash of his old and happier self (Crooked smile, squee!!). She followed his look and saw his armor hanging up on the wall. "Never a real hero?" she asked, giving him a disbelieving look. "I hardly believe that... I'll have to ask your siblings about heroic deeds you've done and I'm sure you'll be the hero," she said with a grin. She walked close to him, shoulder to shoulder, and gave his hand a squeeze. "I rescued you? Remind me how I did that again?" she requested.

(ooc ha ha ha ;))

He shrugged, "You completed me...and Su would exagerate everything. Ask Ed for the true stories."

(ooc this is random but have you hear Robert Pattison sing?)

Ooc: No, not yet! Why??

Clarissa leaned her head on to Peter's shoulder as they continued to meander through the halls of the castle. "I can't ask Lucy?" she asked, wondering why he hadn't even mentioned his little sister. She would make sure to ask Edmund though, she was sure that there was something Peter wasn't telling her. "So, tell me, your majesty, what was your reign like? You couldn't have ruled long because you and I met ages ago," she inquired.

Ooc: I'm off to bed! See ya!
