A Thread For LOTR Collectors

Although my Narnia collection is bigger than my LotR one, I still like what I have for LotR.

1) The complete three volume book
2) The individual hardbound books with artbox
3) 7.5" Strider figure
4) Small 1 - 2" figure set of the fellowship
5) Gandalf on Shadowfax small figure
6) Aargorn (RotK version on horseback) figure
7) The King of Rohan (his name escapes me) figure
8) RotK for Xbox 1
9) The Extended Trilogy on DVD

A qauint little collection, worthy of recongnition. :)

Theoden...the name of the King of Rohan is Theoden :D

I could start a store with all my stuff
I have the rotocast figures of Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, Aragorn and Eomer. And I have a large talking Sauron with eyes lightning up. It's Last Alliance Sauron. Of course my action figure collection is the biggest......around 250 or something :D

Thought I have mentioned my collection already, I must be frank or honest that it is rather small in comparison to others collectors. However though it is small it contains enough for me. :)

Last weekend me and my nephew played The Trival Prusuit Lord of the Rings Edition. I love it! It even comes with the One Ring! :D

The pleasure about collecting is not how much but the joy of the collection itself. I think you can be proud at your collection Jeff. It is unique. You collect something from a world you love. And that's what counts and not the amount ;)
Look...I'm family of the greedy dwarves...I saw these action figures and wanted to have more and more :D

I love that too, we have the movie Trivial Pursuit as well as the trivia game based on the books. That one (not surprisingly) is harder.

I think all of the games based on the movies came with Rings, thus we have a whole bunch of One Rings lying around :D

I have some of those but the ones that come in the games are much bigger and more impressive

Then there are the ones that came in the checkers game... :p

The question is.. which is the real One Ring? With all these copies floating around, it is going to be impossible to find and destroy the real one. :D

I wonder why no one else decided to forge another ring of power to contest Sauron's One Ring? All you need is someone well versed in ring lore and the technics of forging.

I would think the one that makes you invisible when you put it on :D

I was plotting buying a ring of power for someone for his sixteenth birthday. My friend and I were explaining our plan to him, he would have the ring then Bilbarbara (my sister) would come and take it from him so he could become Gollum. Then Frodoris (my friend) and Samantha (me, not that any of those names are anywhere near our real names :D) would receive the ring from Bilbarbara and destroy it in the mountain of fire in Frodoris's back yard. :D

Lol That's hilarious GG. I myself would not dare buy The One Ring. I however wouldn't mind a ring of power perhapes one with ruby setting. :D

Oh yeah, I can turn invisible! *looks for the secret button on user CP* :D

I'd go for Galadriel's ring. I know, whenever I meet my future husband I will tell him that I want Galadriel's ring for my engagement ring ;) :p

Lol your not alone GG, Ferny said the same thing. She wants her husband to get her a Galadriel Ring.

Prehapes Vanessa your One Ring is a counterfit. :D

Haha, that's a good idea...but be sure he knows what it's all about. ;)

Me, the only thing I've collected from LotR would be pieces of articles from magazines and pictures...back in 2004 when I couldn't see them and when the EE's came out there was stuff about it everywhere, so I saved back a bunch of pictures...I only threw some of them away last year; but I did save some. I don't think I ever saw any action figures or anything in Wal-Mart...and I have about 4 posters, one from China that are all Return of the King (one is just Legolas). I dont' really collect things...might be because I have no income. ha.

Hey whatever it is, it matters. Frankly your ahead of me when it comes to posters, I have none. :D

Plus I hold to a wise saying; "It's not how much you have that counts." ;)
