A Thread For LOTR Collectors

Well I have offically ordered all three of the Complete Recordings by Howard Shore for my birthday. I also ordered two more Pewter pendants; One is The Fellowship Leaf and the other is Aragorn's Coronation Crown. :)

Oooh I like both those pendants, the Aragorn's crown one especially :D

I felt sufficiently LotR geeky today when I was the first one to star the Bilbo and Frodo birthday thread as usual :D

I have found some more LOTR Pewter Pendants I want to buy. The total sum to purchase them all is $120. :(

I have already had a lot spent on me for this birthday so I hate to ask for more. But I can't help it.. I want to collect all the pendants! :D

That's nothing to be ashamed of. To be LOTR geeky is a good thing, because your in good company. :D

I have never professed to be ashamed of my geekiness, I am quite proud of it (thus my Geekier Than Thou banner :D)

You can collect them over a period of time Sir G. even if you don't ask for them for your birthday

I agree with GG here Jeff. You don't have to buy them all at one time even though I know you want it desperately ;)

I've decided to not purchase anymore Pewter pendants for a couple of reasons. Number one expenses and number two I really don't need so many pendants. I mean one can only ware so many and your bound to favor certain ones anyway. I would rather save that money and enjoy the ones I am about to recieve. :)

Ergo I choose to be content. :D

Ps. The reason I was so anxious to get them all.. is they are only available for 26 more days. :)

Don't worry. If they aren't sold the seller will renew their offer and during the Christmas periode they will even have more offers. I know all the ins and outs of ebay ;)

I forgot your an eBay conieur. :D

I helped my nephew pick his LOTR Sword Replica today! He has chosen Legolas' Knives! :)

Indeed! He's expressing his individuality!

Hey Nessa I have a problem.. my shipment of pendants is coming when I am away on holiday.. and the seller has informed me that I shall need my Registered Parcel Number to sign for the products or else they will not deliever them!

First off what is a Parcel Number? And Second how can I solve this problem?

First of all Jeff why did you order your things while knowing you would go on a holiday? :p You better waited after you came back :D
A registered parcel number is the same as a track and trace. When you bought the items you should have received an invoice or email from the seller (by ebay) in which a registered parcel number has been included. I think the Seller means you have to print that number out and show it to the people who will deliver your package. You can't show it to the seller of course because he is the one who sent it already.
The second thing is this. Do you have a neighbour or someone around you who will be able to keep an eye on the mail for you? You could make a copy of your registered parcel number and keep it just in case. And otherwise you should ask your sister if she can keep an eye on the package for you. Well if you're not at home and the package will be delivered it is not a big problem. After the second time you have to pick it up yourself at the postoffice (it depends what company is going to deliver your pendants)

Well for one I thought shipping would be the standard 5-6 days and thus would come before I leave. I do have relative that could watch and sign for packages. I just don't recall recieving a Parcel Number. I hope I can find it amongst my emails.

Secondly why do you need parcel number anyway? I mean I order from Amazon all the time and I never have to sign anything.

Amazone is a company and on ebay the sellers are all individual sellers. This seller has chosen for you to sign for your parcel. This might be a cause with bad experiences in the past. For the seller it is a sign the buyer received the package and can't claim never to have gotten it while in reality he or she already had. Shipping days are 5-6 days. Also weekends included

That's what I thought.. if I did not sign for it and I was how do I say.. a shadey fella and I told them I never recieved the package when I did.. I could end up getting twice the merchandise.

As for the shipping the seller told me 10-12 business days not including holidays and weekends.

Another issue I cannot find a Parcel Number at all. I have checked my email notifications and there is no parcel number. :(
