After Return of the King

"Frodo? Is something wrong?" Kasey asked trying to make out the shadow of the Hobbit next to her.

Frodo froze, she read him all too well. He then took a few steps forward,

"Oh.. it's nothing, my dear Kasey. I'm fine."

He then said, trying to change the subject,

"I do wonder when we'll ever see the lights of day, from out of this cave."

"We are almost out now, Mr.Baggins." Arla said trying to reassure him.

Frodo-

Beams of light now shone through the darkness, like knives piercing the air as the view or Mirkwood reached their eyes. Frodo now gazed at Arla greatfully,

"I am very much in debt to you, my good Elf. If there is anything I can do to re-pay you in the future, I shall gladly do it."

"You've done enough already my friend." Arla said.

Frodo smiled, as he took a few steps closer into the woods,

"Not nearly enough, Arla."

Merry-

Merry, who now found himself to be a bit more trusting in the elf, quietly came and walked beside both Frodo and Pippin. Although there was still a stroke of that leary feeling in his heart.

"Yes you have sir. You saved the world. All should repay you." She said giving him another slight bow.

Frodo kindly thanked the elf for her kind respects to him, and soon they were on their way traveling through the forest of Mirkwood. After a few minutes, Frodo asked intently,

"So where shall we be off to now, Arla? I am afraid I'm not too familiar with the realms of Mirkwood as I should be."

"I don't think any orcs will follow us this way but yes maybe we ought to move along. I also overheard my brother is in Gondor." Arla said turning to him.

OOC: I didn't mean Move Along as in the song. LOL.

OOC: Ha Ha. That's exactly what I thought of when Arla said that! :D

IC: Merry-
Merry now came up beside Arla then asked curiously,

"And who is this brother of yours, Arla?"

"Oh... you know him. He traveled with you. Legolas." Arla said pushing her black hair behind her pointy ears.

Frodo-
Frodo looked up, suddently alert,

"Legolas? He's your brother?"

He now watched her pull back the long black strands of her that littered her face,

"Is Legolas doing well, Arla? It seems as if I haven't seen him in a very long time."

"I haven't seen him in a while. He went off somewhere with Gimli. After that I recieved a letter from Gondor. It stated that he was there I hoped I would help his friends make it." She said.

Frodo-

Frodo smiled, as memories of Legolas flooded back into his mind,

"Good ol', Legolas. I do hope to see him again soon... and Gimli as well!"

"You will. By tomorrow evening we will be in Gondor. Instead of taking the way toward my home I led you through the shortcut." She said pointing in the direction of a tall building in the distance.

"Did you hear that Frodo? We'll be in Gondor tomorrow." Kasey said hugging him.

That evening Arla walked toward Frodo. "May I talk to you alone sir?"

Frodo now looked up from the place he had been sitting as the other's sat around a camp fire they had set up among the leaves of the forest. He now replied with a thoughtful gaze,

"Certainly, Arla."

He now rose to his feet and walked with her to a far corner of their camp.
