Anne of Green Gables

idk, i love the WHOLE thing. I dont have a favorite part for AoGG, but my favorite part (besides everything with Gilbert ;) ) in AoA would have to be everything at Echo Lodge.
What about Road to Avonlea, the series? Has anyone seen those? Mr. Tumnus fan and I currently have the first 6 episodes on tape from the library.

I love when she dyes her hair green... that was priceless. And I liked the part in the book when (hmm.... my memory's a little rusty... I think this is how it went...) her cow eat's her neighbor's plants? I think... and then she bakes the cake and brings it over as a peace offering... and eventually her and her nieghbor become friends, but when ever she goes over there his pet parrot always says, "red-headed snippet! red-headed snippet!" LOL I love that...

lol
i just started Anne of the Island yesterday. OMGH!!! i was already swooning (the best word i can think of lol) over how romantic it was on page 7! when gilbert puts his hand on anne's.....*sigh* OMGH its so romantic!!!!!! on the sullivan website, you can watch 5 min sections of episodes from Road to Avonlea! i'm so happy!

oh, my little sister loves those books more than Narnia! (yeah, unfortunatly she`s obbsessed. too bad. she would be better off obbsessing over Narnia.) Anne and Gilbert, sittin` in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! i could do that with Proto and EFC. whoops........i shouldn`t have said that.............

greatest complement ever!!! thanks! the more i read the books, the more i realize how alike we really are! i just finished Anne of the Island last night at 11:20. holy crow! between the ages of 18 and 21, she was proposed to 6 times by 5 guys! the part where she realized she has always loved Gilbert and when he proposes again-OMGH!!!!!!!!!!!! i had to stop every few sentences because it was so romantic!!!! this one is my favorite. i love them all very much, but this one is the most romantic. actually, i think i love them all equally. next up, Anne of the Windy Poplars, which is on my bed next to me right now. ;) :D

edit-i also must add that since i have started wearing my hair in 2 braids, my mom and sister have taken to pulling them every so often. lol
can i add you as an official friend *Neevil*?

You're making want to read it now... I've only read Anne of Green Gables, and I started Anne of Avonlea. Hey guess what! Next summer I'm going to Prince Edward Island on vacation! :D

I love Anne! I have for a while now. I have all the books, except the last one, and the last two movies, Anne 'The Continuing Story' my Mom has 'Anne of Avonlea'. When I first got 'Continuing Story' I watched it about twice a week for about 8 weeks! Haven't watched it in two years though :( Time to!
Crunchine, can I be a 'Kindred Spirit' I really am. When I first read the books, I was amazed how much I'm like Anne. She really kinda became a friend. :)

So Crunchine, I can't figure it out... have you read all of the books before, or is this your first time?? just wondered. :)

i watched the 1st movie a long time ago. i might have read the 1st book then too, but i'm not sure. i don't think i did. anyway, i am reading them now and am currently on book 4, Anne of Windy Poplars.

Really? I liked Windy Poplars, but it wasn't my fav of the series. I liked 'Rilla of Ingleside' best I think. :D But they were all good! What do you all think?

Btw, This is my 500th post! Huzzah! :D

Oh, alrighty! :) It seemed like you were reading the series for the 1st time, but I thought I'd ask to make sure.

Anne of Windy Poplars is pretty interesting, but the letters can be a tad boring, in my opinion.:D

i like Windy Poplars, but i am kind of disappointed that the love letters are not in it. i am on the 2nd year of the book. :D
Yeah I was disappointed too. Oh well, I did like the rest of it too.

Which movie is your fav?

I like the 1st 2.
maybe the 1st one a little better, only because the 2nd one skips too much.

I agree! Although I did like the third, I'm not sure which I liked best.
The first was closest to the book, the second kinda, and the third hardly! What they did was... well never mind you'll figure it out when you finish the series. :D
