Anyone Else Looking Forward To The Music And Songs?

On a side note, the song that was playing in the VODT trailer at around 1:19, when Reepicheep climbs on the mast and the narrator says "You've got an extraordinary destiny..." Is that a new song for VDT? Haven't heard it from the other 2 movies.

I don't know anything about that myself. But I would like to know, and the only person I've heard say anything about that is this:

That is not a sample score. It wasn't even written by David Arnold; it's trailer music.

Not that I don't believe you Arvan, but if you read this, how do you know?

I know this sounds a bit weird, but I actually think the music from the LWW videogame is the best. The music that plays when Eustace and Edmund enter Narnia, as well as the game's main theme...it just has a mystical feel to it, as well as a feeling that the Pevensies are becoming part of a great legend.

Here are links to some of the music:

I think the music in the film suits the film better, but I just like some of the video game music more.

I am really not looking forward to the music, though I do hope it's good enough. LWW had better music than PC if you ask me.

Here it is. Credits to chandloski. A pity it isn't going to be in the movie, seeing it's just trailer music. It's really epic, and fits Narnia perfectly. :(

Agreed. LWW's music made more of an impact on me. PC's music didn't strike me during or after I watched it at all.

I hope Harry Gregson Williams has a few pieces of music in this soundtrack. He's an excellent composer. He does some music for the Metal Gear Solid video game series. He did do some of the narnia music in the first two movies.

The one thing I liked about PC's music is that both films (LWW and PC) were tied together because they sounded similar, yet different. I think that with LWW, with it being released first, there was more of a magical quality with it. I don't know how I feel about DAvid Arnold composing, but I do love his Amazing Grace score, so I trust him with it. I do hope though that it'll give nods to the original score(s), but still be different and new. And I hope that nothing similar to PotC comes in.

I agree. Hopefully the score will have a choir like the LWW trailer did :D. I didn't really get into the LWW songs but I liked PC's, especially Regina Specter's The Call.

I have that song; it's called "Heart of Courage" by Two Steps from Hell. They make trailer music. Very few trailers use music from the film they advertise, although sometimes they use music from the films before them ("The Lord of the Rings" and "Night at the Museum", for example).
