Anyone into Stargate:Atlantis ???

HaHa

So I'm sorta kinda excited for the movie they'll
have out soon- Stargate: Extinction. Totally buying it.
Then at the end of this month,
Stargate: Atlantis Season 5 will be released on June 30th.

I wouldn't expect Stargate to be with us much longer.

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis were both cancelled.

As for Stargate Universe, who can say? I haven't seen any episodes yet.

It looks like if we want a long term Stargate experience, we'd better start playing the upcoming multiplayer game.

Although, I am worried about what kind of people that will draw in. In order to prepare for Stargate Worlds, I played a similar game. And towards the end of my time, I was loathing some of the players with the vengence of a Incendiary Propellant Gun. Basically, bad players are drawn to mmos. The primary problem is people with no lives who are obsessed with being superior through PvP. If you don't PvP or even suggest that you are a "balanced" player (one who does both equally), they declare war on you. Then we have the XP leeches, people who get others to do all the hard work for them with no or minimal help from the leech. And then we have the flamers, those people ready to pick fights at the drop of a hat and actively go looking for or causing these fights.

I'm REALLY hoping these people don't show up in Stargate Worlds. Or if they do, they're banned really fast. Even though the game isn't active yet, the community is already established and it seems like a very nice one. It would be a shame for "outsiders" to come in and ruin that for their insane personal agendas.

SGU...is bleah

Even though I'm reserving most judgment until I actually see it, the fact that SGA was cancelled to make room for it is not getting it high marks in my book. If something starts out with a bad mark like that, it probably won't survive.

Good riddance, though...serves them right for cancelling SGA

Fan backlash can be a dangerous thing.

Firefly got killed simply because the Dark Angel fans were mad at it for taking that broadcast slot.

But it would be strange for SGA fans to lash out at SGU.

^That's exactly what a lot of SGA fans want, though...they want SGU to be killed by the backlash.

I'm going to give the first ep a chance, but I've already got bad feelings for the show b/c it took SGA's slot, and so that's not going to do wonders for it in my eyes...
