long story. mainly because of how I've been treated by people because of my dad's job.

which is one reason I'm sometimes rude (and hostile) to people online (though I'm not saying this is an excuse!). I'd like to think I've developed a tough skin but only in areas. It's not all over.

ahhh
well no wonder you hate 7th Heaven then! ha ha lolz

ehh well those ppl dont know how awesome and how privlaged your dad is. Nor do they see how wonderful you are for having a dad that teaches the Word of God.

If my dad was a Pastor I'd be OVER thrilled

my dad, though I love him, has really done nothing with his life(he's an ex-writer, musician, and bus driver)
he isnt the bread winner in our house hold
and he isnt the leader
he also isnt really the one that had me accept Christ (though he did aid my spiritual growth as a kid and adult)
So be glad your dad is a pastor
he's an amazing blessing to your family
and the community (maybe more if he's the kind of pastor that gets national or international out reach)
be glad that at the end of the day your dad is someone respect, admire, and teaches you to be someone of great character

I guess I'm lucky in some respect. But being who I am, I have to deal with all the church politics and people who won't treat my parents badly to their faces; they take it out on me. or my sister. or they pass it onto their kids.

Currently, no.

My father was a pastor at church A when I was born, then several years later we left that church.
Then the new church we joined (church B) eventually added him on as an associate pastor, but then there were some disagreements, and we left. We went to another new church (church C) and he eventually became an elder, but then we went back to church B and he became the senior pastor for three years.

But that came to an end about a year ago, and we are back at church C where he is an elder again.

Wow.. I forgot how complicated that was.

We are happy at this church, and will probably stay here the rest of our lives. (I hope.)

well you tell them about being a family
that Jesus doesn't want squabbles in his house
and then you just let it be
if they dont get with the program
let God handle them
