Then, Bethore went to sit down in the cave on a log. When she sat on the "log"....it moved and said "Ouch!" It was Victoria! She had been hiding in a cave!
IC: Soon, Laina had reached the outskirts of Northwilde. Making sure that her hood was still up, she silently jumped from the branch landing perfectly balanced on her feet. She casually walked down the well traversed road into the small town.
ic: Cassia pushed the chair back. She grabbed her black cloak and fastened the silver broach around her delicate neck. Then, she slipped on a pair of black beaded slippers on her tanned feet. She found her way to the door in the dim light and exited the room and then the tavern all together. Her feet lead her to the road and from there the outskirts of the village. Just then she noticed a cloak figure. Afraid that it would be the same one as before she marched up to her, magic ready at hand.
IC: Laina was surprised by the stranger just marching up to her like she had met her before and was ready to strike. "Whoever it is you're looking for, I am not them." She said with a stern voice, ready to attack if needed.
"But what if I'm not? What if I'm just a stranger who just happens to be wearing a black cloak?" She asked, her eyes penetrating the stranger, even though she knew that the girl could not see her face.
"Oh! No... there was... someone, following me earlier today," Cassia explained. She peired passed the shadow that hid the girl's face. "Trust me, I would not be chasing you if you where a theif." She laughed slightly.
"I'm sure." She said, almost rolling her eyes. "What are you doing out here, in the outskirts of all places?" She asked, curious if this person had something to do with the gut wrenching feeling she had earlier.
Laina was about to ask her another question when suddenly she smelled something in the wind that caught her attention. "Do you smell that?" She asked, sniffing the air again.
"Rain, we should get undercover. It's going to be a big one." She said, just then lightning flashed across the sky letting out a loud crack of thunder.
"Fine with me. Let's go, it's going to start soon." She said, looking up at the darkening clouds. Pretty soon, tiny little water droplets began to gently fall from the sky.
