Benonites II

Hello. I said I'd post on here more often and I haven't. I really should. But I like Ben Barnes. He is my second love. *I am a Taylor Lautner(Jacob Black) mega fan.*

Well at least HE has a movie that's not too smutty where he's shirtless.
I just hope Ben knows what a mistake doing DG was. poor boy,he wrote he would come home sick after each day shooting.
His conscience wouped him good for THAT descision. Or maybe God is just whipping him into shape for me...:)
(just dreaming)

Sorry dudes I am a massive Twilight fan.

well I think the books themselve aren't THAT bad. I just think the people who were cast as bella and edward suck.
Does anyone know that BEN BARNES almost got the part of Edward? ALOOOOOOOOOOOT more people would've watched it if HE got the part wouldn't they?:D

That would of been amazing!! Ben and Taylor in one movie!! *faints*
Rob and Kristen suck. They can't act and Rob isn't even hot, he looked better as Cedric in HP. Everything is so rubbish and over rated these days.

wowww ben came home sick after shooting Dorian Gray

woww ben came home sick after shooting Dorian Gray :( how sad, but i think it was his choice to be in the movie, :)

Oh yes. He is did take literature in college, maybe he just never read that book. I wouldn't want to,even if it's written it's still disgusting.

I've only read the beginning, but I actually liked it. It takes forever to get through it though, b/c although Wilde claimed to have not made any sort of moral statements in his works, with Dorian Gray that is definitely not true. Every few lines has some sort of moral connotation to it and it's like GAH brain explosion :p It's sort of like Shakespeare--the disturbing elements are there to set an example of "this will happen to you if you're this stupid/ignorant/careless/disregarding for any moral code whatsoever". I don't think, from what I know of the rest of the story, Wilde condones any of what Dorian ends up doing--and that's the point of the book. I think it was also pointing out the hypocrisy of society--how it parades youth around (and this is still present in our society today) and glorifies it but at the same time is really corrupting it until it becomes as ugly as Dorian's portrait e.g. his soul. At the beginning of the story, he's this completely innocent young man (and Wilde spends a LOT of time describing just how perfectly pure and innocent he is) and then by the end he's been completely defiled by the choices he's made (and by the influence of his older "friend"). It's kind of scary, when applied to society now, actually, b/c it's like nothing has changed since Victorian times...or has gotten even worse :S

But anyway. Forgive me for the spiel. It's not a "bad" book, though--it has a very important lesson to it, but again, b/c of the way that lesson is presented, not everyone can stomach the story content. Ben probably should've done more research before deciding to take the part...I mean, look at those people who've played Hitler. Who WANTS to play Hitler, really? Other than to expose how horrible he was...it takes certain people to be able to take on roles like that and remain relatively un-traumatized by the experience. Ben probably wasn't ready for it.

Well no of course not. Did you ever read his interviews for PC?
He's really new to the whole acting concept and is BOUND to make mistakes.
Hopefully this teaches him a lesson and he'll research his book characters before he acts. And YES I DO know the story of Dorian Gray.
He actually is a main character in one of my books, attonement I think.
He goes on some sort of adventure with this guy named Hale.
He is on parol from prison and as they're on their adventure he's sort of regaining his innocence(and staying away from women:D)
so the jailers keep his ugly painting as a way of tracking his criminal activity, and by the end of the book they say: "good lord it's atractive again!"
hee hee

I have read/ watched a lot of interviews with Ben Barnes. From what I've seen he has read the book and and did do his research. From what I gather he took the role because he shares your point of view. It is very relevant to today. Here's a quote from him I found in an interview, though it ins't the only place i'm getting my info.

"I read the book first when I was a teenager; I am aware it is a lot of people's favourite novel and so definitely wanted to be faithful in tone of the book in making the film. The downfall of Dorian is a fascinating downward spiral of morality and the themes seem as relevant today as ever, living as we do, in a youth and celebrity obsessed culture."

Dadgummit! NOW I HAVE TO DO RESEARCH! dang! that boy's a mystery!
And I hope you don't mind me saying "boy" all the time. It's a tick i have with men,I say "boy" no matter HOW OLD!

Well,as long as he did his research and it was his descision, then It's HIS fault for the weird dreams and sick feeling.
I just have to come up with loop holes to dodge this in my Mr. B fanfic.
I have to go and read his interviews so I don't stretch the truth TOO far:D
(Mr. B is a book about him I wrote based on all the stories I've made up when I see his interviews or that Hyrise video)
Oh by the way..anyone ON here seen that yet?
He got humiliated on Jimmy kimmel for it and It was SOOOOOO funny. You should've seen his face,he looked like me when I get in pickles over accidentally divulged secrets:D

The sandwich girl is Evangeline(sp?) Lilly, who plays Kate on LOST. I have NO idea why she was eating a sandwich there. The hairnet part is hilarious too!!!! :D

I know..When I watched it,I couldn't figure out his profession either. He just showed up for a like maybe 30 minutes and was following these two chicks around. I was like "Are they at like a meat producing company, are they office workers, why is the conference room so crowded with boxes? what the HECK IS GOING ON? Why are they drinking coffee instead of tea? etc."
I sat there laughing for fifteen minutes and then got on TDL:D
