"Thanks, I know that was kinda unexpected... it was just something that happened... I'm my life... with my daughter," she said unsure weather the hint was enough.

She decided it wasn't and elaborated, "When i was 13 a horrible thing happened to me and... well... i... ended up with Amy... and I'm glad i did but... I just wish it was... a differnt... cercustance... if you know... what i mean," she said with imploring eyes hoping she wouldn't have to say the word.

Niel closed his eyes and swalowed. he understood all too well by the look in her eyes. the face of his little sister in the hospital flashed to his mind. he cringed and opened his eyes, "I'm so sorry," he muttered trying to restairn the anger that boiled up inside of him. not anger towards her btu towards the man who...he stopped his thoughts he could feel his hands balling into fists. yes he was now much more part of this story

"Thank you," she said looking down at his balled fists, "who did you know," she said knowing that reaction between males of a family like mine.

"My sister," he muttered through clenched teeth. he could feel the tears now burning in his eyes as teh anger rose.

"I'm soryy Neil," she said watching his eyes fill up with tears and wishing there was something she could do.

She placed her hand on his arm to offer comfort.

he closed his eyes again concentraing on getting himself under control one tear fell down his face.

Crystal reached up and slowly, her hand shaking wiped it from his face.

She kept her eyes averted down unsure of his reaction.

another tear escaped as he opened his eyes his anger turning into pain over the memory, "I'm sorry," he said again his chin quivering

"Oh, Neil, its alright," she said now being the comfeting one and taking him in her arms instead of the other way this time.

he pulled her close. Same would have been about this age. he didn't let her go, "Thank you."

a smal laugh escaped his lips as he let her go and looked at her, "I can say that i understand to some poin." he looked down at his feet, "I'm sorry you had to go through that."

"We'll there was one advantage to such a...," she said looking back at Amy, "I wouldn't trade her for the world, however she was... conceved."

he forced a smile, "I can understand that. she is great." he wished Sam had had that luck...he wished and sighed under the wieght of the memory.

"Thanks," she could see there was more to his story but she wasn't going to pry. she sighed too.

the silence was odd that hung between them as he flowndered in the past trying to bring himself to the future then he suddenly blurted out, "Can I take you to dinner?"

"Oh, um," she smiled, "yeah sure, I'd love to."
