*hides eyes* Ry-ry!!!Button up your shirt!!!I'm going to die!!!!!!!Beautiful, is it not?
Ryan's all gypsy-ish. (I should tell you DURING the show his shirt was not so modestly buttoned *grins wickedly*)
Keith is like... I don't even know.... he has ruffles. LACE ruffles no less. Maybe he should be the prince of the group.
In the Men’s Restroom
That would be where I met a good deal of my TH friends I hadn’t met yet. During our 45 minute intermission the two girls restrooms had mile long lines, and so an usher came to Trina (a close TH friend Meg and I caught up with), Meg and I to say a men’s restroom was free, and there were other girls there, we took it up.
It was there I got tackled another half dozen times by more close friends I’d never seen face to face. It certainly is a fun thing to tell other people, fun story to tell. It’s amazing to think of how close I’ve become to all these people. Love it. And of all places to meet them, too, this is one memory I’m sure to have for a long time!
So after warmth and hugs we filed back in to see how the stage had changed. And had the stage changed!
The trees in the background were still their, less prominent, though. The creek with the bridge remained, but the gypsy caravan was gone, in it’s place there was a lamppost and a park bench. The shacks and campfire were replaced by an outdoor-ballroom-stage-thing. It had steps up to it, and was pure white with white lights strung around it. The band was on it dressed more like they would for a more conventional CT concert, tuxedo-like suits, and of course dressed for the string quartet girls.
On that ballroom stage the boys sang “Take Me Home”, which was normal. All were in tuxedos, and Paul’s tie was sparkly (he would). The song was as awesome as we all know it to be. Really not much needs to be said besides that.
Next Ryan sang “Every Breath You Take”, which was also rather normal. Except, the girl dancing in it was the same girl he ran off with in Midnight Well. I have NO clue where Zara was for this show. Still, the other girls were equally talented so all is well and good.
Then Amy, remember Amy? Amy sings another time (last female song, and her song is “Just Like Jesse James”. It’s a tad bit too country for my style but incredibly catchy and fun to hear. This still carries a bit of a story, even though the main one ended with the first half. In any case, she and Keith must have had some lover’s spat because she is not happy with him in this song.
Well, anyways, she storms off, and Keith, who had of course been onstage all the time decides he screwed that up. And with that breaks into “Hard To Say I’m Sorry”. (Any Chicago fans?) And Oh. My. Gosh. It is nearly more romantic than Paul’s stuff! And that THAT says a whole lot!! So toward the end Amy comes BACK and they hug and he sings to her and wow. I loved it.
And if we weren’t already near sobbing at that beauty of a song Damian has to go and sing Michael Buble’s “Home”. That got everyone crying, it was so amazing! He was meant to sing that kind of stuff, you can just tell, it all kind of clicks when he sings it. Beautiful. And, him being on our side of the stage for it might have added to it.
George… George came next. Oh, and he did PERFECT! He sang a song called “My Life With You” and just got everyone, of any age, to fall for him. He was having the time of his life, you could tell! I loved watching him and I am defiantly excited to see it on DVD!
Okay so after we all went George crazy Paul sang “You Raise Me Up”. Also normal, but let me tell you, hearing the last words of that song LIVE just blows you away! His voice is just so powerful it’s crazy. I look forward to hearing that in November again.
Oh and then, then, then, we get Hallelujah (shrek and/or Jeff Buckley fans?). NEIL, Keith, and Ryan!!! And it was just PERFECT!! The harmonies… ah! I can’t even explain it! I think it defiantly goes up with my favorite versions of that song. Not just because it’s CT singing it… okay well maybe that’s part of it but only because CT has produced some of the most beautifully sung stuff EVER.
Then, on a sillier note, we get “Standing on the Corner”. Here we actually have another costume change, in which Damian is now in a very hard to describe outfit. It was all white, and struck me as a “golf outfit” for some rich country club thing, I was very surprised it didn’t include a club. That’s the best way to explain it.
Anyways Damian sings “Standing on the Corner” where a bit more of his cheesiness comes back, but it’s okay, we love it! Halfway we get the only dancer we haven’t seen yet, a younger girl dressed in a white dress to match his outfit, and they kind of walk/dance together (Damian CAN dance! It was amazing!), and at the end find the park bench where he pulls the “Yawn/put-arm-around-girl” move. So cute!
And they are hardly there for a few seconds when they get, shall we say jumped? By all of the gypsy dancers who are no longer gypsies! No, now they look like they are in some gang in the 1920’s or so. All in tuxes and fedora hats, very classy.
So Damian grabs his girl and runs. And Ryan comes out, in the same out fit as his gang, fedora and all, and sings “Bad Bad Leroy Brown”, with more dancing. Not like the tribal dancing before… more like Broadway type. Oh was THAT fun to watch. Never expected Ryan to be a dance type but he was enjoying the heck out of it, I could tell – you could see that smile from a mile away!
Sticking to the fun that is this half of the show, Keith gets to be a surfer. More or less. Just compile a few Beach Boys songs together and that’s what he sang. Only one I can truly recall is “Surfing USA”. He’s in like this almost green looking suit, oh and he had a guitar, a bright red one, and he was just rocking out. It was so fun and crazy and Keith like!!
If we couldn’t get more kooky, Paul sings a song called… wait for it… “Doo Wacka Doo”. And well, this whole half everyone seems to be having the time of their lives! This is no exception! He’s in a regular tux but with it he has a top hat, and a cane. And… he tap dances. And oh my word I was CRACKING UP! It was just hilarious and awesome and amazing to watch! I loved it. I loved all of this!
Then, “500 Miles” is 500 Miles. I don’t think I really must explain that one for you. Everyone was told that they shouldn’t if not COULDN’T stand up, for filming purposes, but it that song it was so dang HARD!! George’s energy in that song just screams for standing up! So some of us were rebellious. Sorry.
“Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” completed my life. Period. For one, it’s U2, I am a U2 freak! Two, they, yet again, were having SO much contagious fun! Clapping and getting the whole audience involved! I can’t wait for that on DVD as well.
“Lough Swilly Railway” followed that, which was a lovely, lovely, upbeat instrumental. Those are always fun! I hadn’t concentrated too much on it during the show itself but I found it again on itunes (the original) and I REALLY love it!
So anyways, next came “Ireland’s Call”! Oh my goodness this made me SO happy!! First, I did NOT think they were doing this song! I was SURE they weren’t doing this song! Sharon had TOLD us they weren’t doing this song!!! But Sharon had another lie in this song as well. THEY WORE KILTS! Sharon, Sharon, Sharon had swore that “No, girls, there will be NO kilts in Storm” making us rather unhappy. But they DID!! And all was wonderful!
And after what felt like hours of bowing and us screaming, it ended. I cannot fully find words to tell you how absolutely amazing that experience was! This is the bamillionth time I have told written or typed a play-by-play of this and it never fails to give me butterflies. Celtic Thunder will never fail to impress me beyond words.
It was worth every mile, every minutes, every second of that 13-14 hour trip. And defiantly worth getting lost in London for.
And Keith! You look like a younger, much cuter version of Jon Pertwee!!!

Interesting photo. Why the costumes, though? It's all very theatrical.*tries to post big version again*

Which three...?
I have all * *counts* * The Show, Act Two, Take Me Home, It's Entertainment, Christmas, Heritage six. All six. As well as 5 DVDs.
I was at the filming of the It's Entertainment DVD - my mom, my friend Meaghann, and I all make audience shots throughout. It's really quite entertaining.
Tell me, QLTV, have you heard about Storm?
