Oh, goodness, you have certainly been deprived. Cheez Whiz is in the food group known as "pastuerized processed imitation cheese food product", and at one time came in jars. It was about the consistency of light peanut butter and you spread it on stuff like crackers. It's similar to that other abomination, "spread" (a.k.a. "pastuerized processed imitation margarine dairy food product".) If the posts are any indication, it now comes pressurized in cans so you can squirt it around. Geesh - it was bad enough when you could just spread it.

Cheez Whiz!!!!

Did somebody say

CHEEZ WHIZ!?!?!?!

Where would Narnia be without Cheez Whiz? Let us consider some places Cheez Whiz should have been worked into the story, had C.S.L. been "on his toes enough":

1) What would Mrs. Beaver have brought when they fled the dam, other than...

2) Surely when Caspian had hungry troops to feed at Aslan's How, he would have turned to...

3) What would you bring aboard the Dawn Treader for those long, hungry evenings but...

4) What would have certainly been a staple of the Giants at Harfang for their autumn feast but...

5) Surely when the exhausted and hungry travelers lodged with the Hermit of the Southern March, what better to serve them but....

6) Before Uncle Andrew got Atlantean dust to experiment with, surely he honed his skllls on....

7) What made Shift such a jerk, but a steady diet of...

CHEEZ WHIZ!!!!!

and you know that the little restaurant that Jadis ate at only served the finest...

Tirian would have amassed plenty of strength with...

But those dwarves probably still wouldn't have been able to taste the deliciousness that is...

And what would the creatures of Narnia done during the long winter without...

Of course Reepicheep's nurse fed him....

How could the Old Narnians have survived the Telmarine interregnum without...

I'm sure Puddleglum packed lots of....

For that matter, the poor gnomes were certainly fed only....

And what made the Calormenes so grouchy, but a shortage of....

CHEEZ WHIZ!!!!

The fox's Christmas table naturally had a large platter of...

If Edmund had known the dangers of Turkish delight he would have wished for...

Unfortunately Susan and Lucy had left their coats at the train station which had nice snacks of...

Eustace and Jill were of course served...

Or mixed in with...

Flavored with...

Grilled with...

Baked with...

Boiled with...

There are a number of different ways to use...

...is very versatile

I wonder if that's what the next line in the giant cookbook was. You know, where it says "the muddy flavour can be greatly reduced...", maybe it went on to say "if served with Cheez Whiz!"

On the other hand, maybe that's part of what Aravis didn't like about Tarkheena Lasalareen's banquet - too little Cheez Whiz.

Dernhelm! How kind of you to drop by! Aren't you one of the ones who got this thread going? A true contribution to civilization, I might add - almost as much as Cheez Whiz itself.

Say, do you remember the description of what the travelers were fed by the gnomes while being rowed across the Sunless Sea? Could it have been....
