Have you seen the new season with Matt Smith. Cause if loved 10 Doctor with Rose, you're really going to love 11th and Amy.
 
I might have already said this, but Classic Doctor Who all the way. I don't watch the modern ones; mostly because I can't be bothered. :p Tom Baker looks the best part as the Doctor to me. :D
 
The Classic Dr. Who stories at least managed sometimes to talk about something BESIDES relentless political correctness (all military men are idiots, and all privately-owned businesses are evil). The continuation series is even MORE politically correct than ever.

Hey could somebody fill me in on the storylines of Doctor who though?
Because my family doesn't ever want to watch it and Its going to be awhile till I get a computer for myself that can play videos,so could you guys tell me what exactly happens mostly?
Wikipedia only gave me the details on who puts it together and all the controversy. I wanna hear it from the fans.

There are times when I love my job, and last night was certainly one of them!

As a promotion for the DVD release of the latest season of Dr. Who, we got a huge promotional standee full of Dr. Who collectibles including figures of The Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy Pond, Dalek Prime, The Third Doctor, a Tardis USB hub that lights up and makes noises, and the 3rd and 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdrivers.

I still need to watch the rest of David Tennant's episodes before I start watching Matt Smith's.
 
OMG I AM SO BUYING A SONIC SCREWDRIVER THIS SUNDAY!
I might even see if I can find a tweed jacket at salvation army.

I taped up my glasses today and wrote Dr. on one side and who on the other.
My parents don't get it...but hey! that nerdism!
can't wait till I get a new computer so I can start watching episodes!

It still doesn't help me out. I've read that already. I want to know about the daleks. It never says anything about the daleks.
I know they're evil but how do you take them seriously?
How fast do they even go?

So do you guys get to keep some of that stuff? or you are selling it? And where do you work? what store? I want to know so I can go check out another store near me.

You can do a search in the search box that says "Search this wiki" Just write Dalek on it and it will take you to everything on the daleks. You can search for anything doctor who related there and it will take you to the information you want.
 
@ BK - I work at a store called Hastings, it's a small video, book, and game store.

I wish we could have gotten in some freebies with this, but unfortunately they are selling these Dr. Who goodies at a pretty hefty price. (nearly $40 for the Screwdriver).

Also, if there are any comic book stores near where you live, I would check them out as well since the one by me is pretty darn big into Dr. Who. They even had a Dr. Who movie night when Matt Smith's DVD's released.
 
where is your store? Tell me at least if it's anywhere in Southern California!!! LOL!!! I'll check out the comic book stores but they will be pretty hard to find. The one I knew about that I used to go moved first, then it was gutted in a fire!!!!! (OUCH!!). So far, I haven't seen any other comic book store around, but that's probably because I haven't looked lately.
 
Sad to say, I don't think we have any stores in Cali. =(

I think we have some in western Arizona if you're ever up for a road trip, lol.

And yes, I understand how you feel about the comic book shop. We used to have a really nice, big one here in my town, but their landlord forced them into a smaller building that was less than 1/4 the size of the original and they never really recovered from that unfortunately.

I have to drive about an hour or so to get to the comic book store in the next city.
 
OOMG THEY SELL DOCTOR WHO STUFF AT HASTINGS!??!??!?!? HASTINGS HAS THE BEST NERD JUNK! I FOUND AWESOME NARNIA STUFF THERE ONCE TOO!
Problem is they don't have all that much of it and the TWILIGHT crap gets the spotlight.
I am getting closer and closer to getting that screwdriver. I like to point it at things and say "CYBERNATE!"
I know its not a phrase or anything but we made up a joke that one of the companions like Justin Bieber so the doctor expelled her saying "NOT WORTHY! CYBERNATE!"

Oh my goodness I just came up with a creepy hypothetical question for BK and Copperfox:

WHAT IF andrew adamson and Michael apted found out about doctor who,had very LITTLE knowledge of the show,thought it was cool and WITHOUT researching it,put together they're own version that was COMPLETELY wrong,cruddy and didn't even include all the important stuff?
AND WHAT IF....they tried to mix narnia into it and PETER lead the army of daleks and then...I dunno.

I just thought of this last night. would you all explode if this happened?
Or would you join me in the suing?
