WE HAVE A DR WHO THREAD??!!!?

ok I love doctor who. Tennant is awesome...Amy pond is gorgeous....
and I want a tardis.
That we do!!!

Everyone ought to see the self-parody the BBC did of Doctor Who some years ago, titled "Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death." It gave a comical treatment to the idea of time travel enabling someone to prepare for an emergency in advance. The Doctor was portrayed by the star of the "Blackadder" series. And of course the Daleks were in on the fun.
I'll get around to watch it sometime.

(you can see it on the bbc website if you live in the UK but if not im not sure its on youtube... well worth watch though! (i dont live in the uk i watched it through a proxy)

I only watch classic Doctor Who on YouTube. You really have to search to find good stuff as people post a lot of doctor who clips.

I'm currently watching this comedy with Rowan Atkinson as the doctor. Is that the one or a different comedy? This one looks pretty recent.

thanks, i saw most of it only the last 5 5 minutes didnt load so i missed that bit,ill try and find somewhere that has just last bit so i can see it.

cool sig btw.

Actually it's quite funny - A friend of mine had recommended Dr. Who a long time ago, but I only recently got into the series when I started watching it on Netflix. I have to say that I truly enjoy this show, it has such a good mix of comedy, action, and drama - and it all fits within a 50 minute episode.

I've finished all of Christopher Eccleston's season, and am now working on the first season with David Tennant.

Also, it was really funny because at a recent anime, gaming, and sci-fi convention that I had gone to earlier this summer, we were playing cosplay chess (people dressed up as characters fill in for the chess pieces while two people play the actual game up on a stage) and one of the players moved his piece to take another. Well the person who was representing that piece down on the floor was a Dr. Who cosplayer (who could have been David Tennant's brother) and when he went to kill his opponent he told them "Look, I don't want to have to kill you, can't we reach a peaceful settlement?"

Hey! Another Doctor fan!!! Cool.

I'm glad you saw Eccleston's series first. He was really good and was a great precursor to Tennant and the current Doctor Matt Smith. I am really glad Eccleston was cast when they brought the series back. He had the brought the right mix of mystery, drama, and comedy, and action into the role.

Yes! I have to say that it's a true shame that I never watched this series before.

I really did enjoy Eccleston's version of the Doctor, he was a bit more serious that some of the previous Doctors, but he still had a good sense of humor to him. I like DT just because he is rather silly most of the time, but he does a good job of being serious when he needs to be.

I haven't watched any of Matt Smith yet, but I've heard good things about him.

So for those of you who have watched more of the series, which Doctor is your favorite out of the eleven they've had so far?

I have to say Matt Smith. I don't know what it is about him, but I really adore him as the Doctor. He was my first regeneration and I felt he slid into the roll perfectly that there was no doubt in my mind that this man was The Doctor.

And Magsie, there's no doubt in MY mind that it's good to see you around here again! Have you noticed that Orange Jello also reappeared?

Isn't about time to speculate on the "Christmas Special?" It's almost October already, Just a few more weeks.

true, i have to speculate that its going to have specials guest (that has been confirmed but i dont who they are) its going to lead into series 6....thats all know....so far...

what you think BK?

Yes, the specials usually bridge the story between seasons or series. I do hope they have some cool guests. Bringing back Rose would be awesome even if only for a short appearance. ;)
