Thanks for posting the pics. She looks cute. But not as cute as Amy Pond. It must be such a wonderful thing to be on the set, and a part of Doctor Who. I can't wait to see what she is like with the Doctor.

I have news-y-sh news.
Someone saw that the new companion played by Jenna Louise Coleman is going to be named Susan Tyler. I checked IMDb and that's what they have her under - though they have been known to be inaccurate on occasion.

Now, nothing in this show is coincidental. Do you think she's going to be any relation of Rose's? Thoughts?

I have some spoiler pictures of the new companion and the Doctor, do you want them?

The New Companion is named Clara, it was officially announced.

I am choosing not to hate on her. I advise the same to you all, we haven't see her yet! Plus, it's Moffat's writing....what could go wrong?
So I guess it's not Susan Tyler? Maybe it's Clara Tyler? lol! It would be great if she had something to do with Rose seeing that I'm still in love with her. :D

Thanks for posting the photos Anne!

But Mike, Rose was simply amazing :D I loved her madly too and never understood the complains about her!

^^^true that. ROSE IS THE BEST.

I heard that it was Clara Stone, not Tyler. But they did film at Bay Wolf Bay, so who knows. I would love it if she was related to Rose, but alas, do you think Moffat would do it. He's not up for old stuff. He's very original. He hardly even uses the Daleks.

^ This. Oh this. I will never get the Rose-hate. I completely adore each and every one of 9 and 10's companions and I'd give anything to see them back in the series however briefly. I need to know how the Metacrisis & Rose are doing, and Donna, oh, Donna. :(

I miss that era so badly.

I....LOVE....DONNA!!! Say about her what you want but she was so refreshing!! Not madly in love with the Doctor at all and just...Donna. The woman who turned out to be brilliant. I watched Turn left today and I loved Rose and Donna working together. They have so many similarities!!! They both so cared for others. They both cared about the world around them. I never can get enough of those two companions

I ship 10/Donna so hard it hurts. Whether it's friendship or romance their relationship was so special. It ripped my heart out what the writers did to her in the end. :(

Finally someone who thinks the same as me!!!!!!!! The chemistry between Donna and Tenth was so huge. His face was beaming whenever she was around. She so completed him as his companion. I do believe she was the most important person in his life even more than Rose. It was Donna who saved him and the Universe and she did it again in the end. That was so clear already in Turn left and also in A Journey's end. I hated it too her memories had to be erased. That was sad :(
Their banter was hilarious. Donna was comical and I loved it she was just Donna, a wonderful human being who was silly, funny but most of all filled with love for everybody.

^ She was indeed.:D

*high five* Yes, oh yes. I have a theory that each Doctor has one companion that is an absolute perfect fit for whoever he is in that regeneration, the one who completes him. Generally that's the companion who he'll die for or die shortly after losing. For Nine I see Rose as his perfect match. He was so cynical and wounded and hurting and she was so young and full of life and hope and adventure so she could heal him and make him whole again (and now I'm getting all sorts of Nine feelings because he's my Doctor and I miss him :(). Ten needed Donna. She was hilarious, like you said, and saw right through him and gave him exactly what he needed - the hugs, the comfort, the support. Without her he fell apart.

OMG!! YOU SOOOOO THINK THE SAME!!! I also thought Nine and Rose were so perfect together. It seems like everybody is more focused on Tenth since he was a bit like the ladiesman (I personally think more people have chosen Tennant as their fav mainly because of his looks than his Doctor) but I personally think the Nine and Rose chemistry was deeped and more natural. You saw them grow together and she changed him and he needed her around. This was so clear in episodes as Dalek, Father's Day and the Empty Child/Doctor Dances double episode and of course the final. OMG!! Them dancing together was soooooo cute!!

I too think every regeneration has their own special companion. To Nine it was Rose and to Ten it was Donna and to Eleven it is clearly Amy. These are the couples that have the most chemistry in my opinion.
If Donna didn't stop him in Runaway Bride he would have been dead. Because of all Doctors I think Tenth took the most risks

Totally agree! Nine and Rose were pure perfection. I love them to little bits.

Aw, the dance!!! I couldn't stop smiling - it made me so happy for days afterwards. :D

I agree, Ten did take far more risks. He was such an adventurer and it usually put him in harm's way, even more than the others. Good thing he had Donna for a while to mostly keep him out of mischief.:D

I love Ten dearly but it sometimes saddens me how much focus is put on him. He's one of my top three favorite Doctors but Nine doesn't get nearly the credit he deserves. He was a complex, unique Doctor and I always want to hug all the sadness out of his eyes. Thankfully Rose does that for me. ;)

Some people like 10, some people don't. Some people like 11, some don't. But we all love 9. He doesn't get much credit, even though he is a really good Doctor.

I love all three dearly. I thought the feeling would change after watching some Tenth episodes and Eleventh but when I started to watch from the beginning I loved Nine very much as well. I really love all three madly. I agree with you about Tenth getting most attention. He was great yes for sure but so are the other two as well. I think if Ecclestone had stayed longer for even one season he would have been a fan favorite too. I see more and more people growing into Smith. They finally gave up on the grudge. it is not his fault Tennant left. Tennant quitted himself. people should accept that. And some scripts are lousy and Matt doesn't write the scripts. I'm in general very happy with the new series. And yes everybody have their favs. Nine deserves some loving too because he was really FANTASTIC ;)

I don't care for 11's era, personally. Nothing against Matt Smith or the fact he replaced 10, since with two exceptions I love all Doctors before Ten. My issue with the era is Steven Moffet. I don't care for his approach to the series at all (I didn't care for any of the episodes he wrote for Ten, either), or the way he sees the series. Moffet's era doesn't retain the same feel of the other eras - RTD always pulled back the old villians and companions and tied it all together while Moffet's approach is so fresh and new it doesn't seem like the same series to me. I also don't care for how his concept of the Doctor seems to be so egotistical (I saw that in his episodes for Ten, as well, especially "The Girl In The Fireplace") and overly-confident. Also the River/11 relationship squicks me. I know 11 is supposed to be 900+ years old but Matt Smith is like 20 years younger than her and I get this mother-son vibe that squicks me to death. I think I got turned off at the "I'm the Doctor. Basically...run." line and even though I periodically try the series from time to time it isn't something I'd watch.

Oh I agree. Some episodes are good but it is not as good as it used to be. I still love to watch though but some episodes are really like What the??? I am also more a RTD person than Moffat. I dislike the whole River Song thing. Alex is a wonderful woman but her character is like a fangirl madly in love with the Doctor and the Doctor is like a madly in love boy. This strikes me. This is not the typical Dr Who. Looking at the show in general we saw the main enemies, weird plots, excitement but now it seems to be more a drama or soaplike show. I still want to watch because I won't give up yet and maybe I'm too much a Dr Who fan hahahaha!

Yeah, I really miss the emotional stories of RTD's era when the Doctor was world-weary and loved with caution. I totally agree with the "fanboy" bit - it seems so out of character with any other regeneration. I know some critized RTD's writing for being too sappy but I liked it and it doesn't seem half as soapy as SM's. ;)

Yes, me, too. When/if Eleven turns into Twelve I'll definitely try his era with high hopes.:)

I get a feeling more and more it won't be too long before Eleventh regenerates. It is like the same with the fourth series where everything was pointed to the death of the Tenth even before Tennant announced he would quit the show. That same dark feeling I get in series 6. I think it is a shame Eleventh got lousy scripts. Some stories were good though. Season 5 had greater episodes than 6 in which it seems to be around River Song. They should have left River alone after the Silence in the Library double episode. they are taking it too far now and that is so sad. I miss the great stories. In general I like the RTD episodes more as well. I know many fans are happy with Moffat being back in charge but he sure must do better
