Videos of the episodes? Like, after they air here in the U.S.? Those you can find on the PBS' site for DA. Otherwise, any videos you find will probably be illegal downloads.
 
Does anyone else find the footman (what'shisname) who isn't Thomas a bit dull and pointless to the whole thing? It's partly the character he plays but he still doesn't seem to play the role with much life. The other kitchen maid who isn't Daisy doesn't do too much, either!

I agree on both counts. That new footman, boring. The new housemaid, ok but not anything to fixate on ...

Yeah...he's kinda dumb. Who's the new maid again? It's been forever since I've seen season 3.
 
I forget her name -- she's a real pretty girl, plump and kind of blond. Daisy was sad because the new footman seemed to like the new maid ...
 
I rather miss the footman from series one (and two?), another whose name I can't remember, the one who Daisy reluctantly married. He at least had some personality about him!

I got fed up of not knowing anyone's names! So I looked on the official site. The spark-lacking footman is Alfred and the 'new' maid is Ivy.

William! :( I LOVED William. Was so sad that he died! :(
 
I really like Ivy- methinks she so pretty :rolleyes: But Daisy has more spunk!

They do get more developed in the 4th series because as you know Julian Fellowes always develops his characters more, sooner or later and there was too much going on in series 3 for Alfred and Ivy to get very much of the spotlight... :D

I really like the footman Jimmy!! When he first came on i was like "IT'S ERAGON!!"
 
^ Yeah - I can't get the fact he was Eragon out of my head. XD He's not awful, but also not the kindest character, so it shows that Ed Speleers can effectively do varied acting. :)
 
The last in the current series last night. We were told at the end there would be a fifth series coming next year (as well as the usual Christmas special).

So here's my five more pence on series four. Don't worry, no spoilers! It'll keep my comments brief.

Episode-wise it went up and down a little in my interest levels, but generally it was the ups and a positive series altogether. I did feel we barely saw some of the characters. I suppose that with several characters we want to hear about, and not a proper hour per episode (dang adverts), there is only so much that can go in. Mary, Anna and Edith seemed to be the 'main' characters here. There was a powerful look a character gave in the second before last episode at the end which made me think '... uh-oh'. So much in one look! Great acting by that person. ;)

Again, to say more would be spoilers, so that'll be it.

Overall not a hugely eventful series, but in some ways that was a pleasant thing, and so I think it was a good series. :D
 
^ haha, yes! the show was getting a tad bit miserable for us fans and we need HAPPINESS!! so yeah, i agree with you- so far so good :D

Oh and i LOVED that look too!! the actor's from N.Ireland originally and when i saw it, i was like 'woo hoo! only the irish can do it like that!'

I haven't seen yesterday's one yet so looking forward to that! Oh, what did you think of that pig scene? i LOVED it!! it really brought out her character on a whole new level! ...and i wasn't meaning the pig :rolleyes:

Yeah, it was a good moment as Mary is usually so reserved! especially after recovering from her mourning. I wonder where things will go with this suitors business. :D

I'm glad I'm not the only one impressed by 'the look'. ;)

I also forgot to say that the series had a few amusing moments in it. :D
 
The way the story is going, it certainly seems that 'pig guy' could be a strong possibility... Having said that, bringing Gillingham? back in again, something could still happen there... but mostly thinking pig guy. At first I was thinking he's a little short for her (:p), but I do like him more now.
 
awww i watched the last one last night.... can't wait till Christmas!

I don't know now... i like Gillingham AND the pig guy! i really can't choose... i know if i were in Mary's place i would choose Gillingham because he's so nice and i could never tire of his adorable face :D but the pig guy seems a bit more adventurous so for Mary- who knows? that pig scene, though, really was my favourite out of the whole season! oh! and that scene when Jack Ross saves the girl from being humiliated was ace too!
 
is it on PBS now? I am missing out! I will have to hope they broadcast them all in a row like they did last time so I can catch up. Sounds exciting. Pig guy?!
