European football cup!/Congratulations Nederlandse!

There were only two i believe, thanks!! So Portugal is sure to continue to the next rounds, that's cool. But Switserland is probably out, they've lost two games, too bad for one of the host countries.

Yes that was a shame. They played very well against Turkey, who's a really good football nation. Though Turkey is not used to rain, and it was raining like I've never seen when they played. Turkey deserved the win though, I have to say.

EDIT: why in three different languages, Doffen?

Norwegian, German and English. Done with German soon though.

Germany has lost against Croatia?????? WHOA! It looks like this tournament has many surprises. All so called great teams are playing weak from what I've heard except for Portugal.

Germany is a great team, so is Italy. Though they seem to be alittle cocky. Croatia is way stronger then they get credit for. So is Sweden and Holland. That's the main weakness in the "good" teams. They don't take others to seriously.

That's what I meant. Those so called great teams are (maybe) thinking too easily about getting into the next round. It's still possible but it's going to get tough. Holland isn't there yet either. They have to play against France. I wonder if I will hear the loud sound of screaming again. How many poules are there?

Some of these "great" teams might want to be careful. Its not a sign of the USA having talent that they tied Argentina. It just means Argentina stunk it up. I may be an American but we are no good at football. Its an interesting round for sure.

Let's make a deal, you call 'Holland' 'the Netherlands' and i'll call 'soccer' 'football' :D

A great team isn't great unless it performs well. What kind of 'great' team would Italy be, or what kind of 'great' team would Germany be if they just didn't do well? I'm not saying that they cannot play football (they can), i'm just saying that i'm not really going to call a team a great team unless they do good in the matches. We'll see who is the best team in less than a month. Whoever wins, was the best team i guess:rolleyes:

Are you following the matches, oms?

I think Nederlands and France is going on right now! Good luck, Oranje! The people of Aruba are pulling for you!

WOOT WOOT!! We so ruled that field! I missed the first 20 minutes (ARGH!) because of work, and i missed the Italy - Rumania game too. I've heard that a goal from Toni was labelled 'offside' while it wasn't. You know, that is sooo bad for him and the Italian team.

But back to the Netherlands - France. I've heard we played quite well the first 15 minutes, with of course the great goal from our very own Dirk Kuit! The second part of the first 45 minutes wasn't that good from us, if we wouldn't have such an awesome keeper (vd Sar rules) we might have had a goal against. But France didn't scoar. Second 45 minutes: very, very nice! The two 'switches', Robben and van Persie did a phenomenal job! 4-1 is a score to be proud of :D

And, more important: we're going to the next round!

Congrats on that victory everyone from the Netherlands. Honestly I haven´t been watching a lot, but something is hard to miss:p It was so funny when France scored and just seconds later the Netherlands score. Way to go!!

I´m not sure about who I want to win since I haven´t been following it, but I don´t want Turkey to win. The reason for that is that they beat Norway in the qualic(?).

Then you should actually want Turkey to win, then you can say: 'see, we were so good, but they are the champion, we couldn't beat them'. If they lose very quickly you'll have to say that your team lost from not a great team:p

Germany is one of the big names, but remember that the Dutchys defeated the World Champion, and the second best of the world!!!:D While Germany was beaten by Croatia.:p

These were definately some great games, but we´ll see, we have to play against (probably) Spain or Sweden the next round, and that´s going to be tough.

i wantttt.
well, holland to win. dohh. XD
and germany can be second.
then croatia and rumania.
^^

lieke: the switches, yessss. they also put in bouma, but.. yeah whatever. haha XD
van persie and robben would've been out there entire match if it weren't for their barely healed [insertwordiforgothere]. XD

If Netherlands meets Spain or Portugal, Netherlands will get smacked down, bigtime.

Holland has been great this championship, but so has Spain and Portugal. And Spain houses the leading best players of the world.

Ronaldo vs Nistelroy? Clear victory to the portoguese, I'd say.

Germany isn't going to win this year. They miss their best player (His first name starts with a O and his last name with a K)

you sound like you know a lot about this stuff

i never liked kahn a lot... i always thought lehmann was a really good goal keeper

and how dare you say germany won't win? :( maybe cos kliensi ain't coaching them

Oliver was the leading player for almost all the wins Germany has had. People doesn't even dare to shoot at his goal, afraid that Oliver will shoot them down with lightning bolts from his keeper gloves, created by the Gods. Hands down; best keeper the world has ever seen.

Of course Germany won't win. Norway will, even though they're not in it. We always win, remember?
