European football cup!/Congratulations Nederlandse!

Yes, our keeper, Edwin van der Sar, is going to leave the Dutch team, which is sad. He is a great keeper, in fact: the Russians didn't scoar more than one goal in the first 90 minutes basically because he was there, while the other defense wasn't that well. He saved us against France too, where he stopped 3 almost-goals in a few minutes.
He's great, but he's 37, so i understand that he wants to quit.

I'm hoping that Russia will win, too, not because of Hiddink, i just think it would be such a surprise, and they are really good! :)

Is Germany vs Turkey tomorrow?
 
Germany - Turkey ... Be aware that if Germany scores a goal early, that's not a good sign for them ;) Turkey has, in EVERY match, scored two or more goals in the last minutes. I hope the same thing happens now. Germany doesn't deserve to win at their present state.

From what I've seen of the matches this year, Russia, Holland and Spain was the best teams. So I'll just go for Russia this year.
 
I am going to support Russia of course and they deserve it. I remember it back in 1988 when they lost the finals against Oranje. Van Breukelen exactly knew where Igor Belanov (yep, I remember that name without googling it) was going to kick the ball. Edwin had many great years and he has done a great job so it is sad for him but he can keep his head up. He is one of the main stars.
 
My dad's making my mom get into this crazy UEFA thing also. since russia is her birthplace, she's all for it. and now during dinner they have conflicts over whose going to win. my sisters are on my moms side, and im on my dads XD

so.. yupp. i haevnt been able 2 watch matches in awhile, so keep me up to date with everything thats going on!! =]
 
Not really no. They had a few chances and were lucky enough to make them work. The second goal (Germany) was stupid from the Turkish keeper though.

Turkey played quite well, especially considering that they had so many people who couldn't play this game. I don't think Germany could beat either Russia or Spain though, but they might be lucky. (Sorry MF, i hope for you that they win, because then at least one of us will be celebrating:D But i don't see it happening yet)
 
I´m glad Turkey lost to Germany anyway, though I don´t want Germany to win the whole thing. It was kind of funny when the screen went black and a part of the match couldn´t be seen (though I didn´t watch it really). But they had an alternative solution. Someone was commenting over their mobile phone and when the picture came back it wasn´t the normal one:rolleyes:

lol YEAH that was fun! ^^ You was watching TV2 right? Davy had no idea what to say at all during the first power break as it came as a total surprise.

Germany DID, however, deserve the penalty which the judge CLEARLY ignored. But anyway, they didn't deserve to win.
 
I did, the few minutes I watched. The thing I did watch had just finished and I was switching over just to see how the match was going and I thought it was in the middle of the break so I just turned the tv off. But then I thought it was weird and turned it on again and I was shouting to my mum that it was a nice football match she was watching:D And then I went into the living room and watched for a little time...
 
The most important thing is Russia defeats Spain :D I want Russia to win. Although they can't complain because they have played an excellent tournament. I expected Germany to win. Turkey has been lucky so far but now their luck ran out. Still they can't complain either because they have done great too!

Thank you sweetie! I don't like it Russia is out but Spain was playing better.
And PC is going to have the premiere here this sunday :D
 
Well, I am glad Germany is in the final cause I like Germany a lot. And Spain has been playing really well this time. I think it's going to be a great game. I predict Germany will win. They always do at the highest level, even if they do it in a boring way.
